Now, you see, if you take a chocolate bar and break it in a complete half, technically it has become two seperate entities that are equal. Two chocolate bars.

Now if you break a Bar Magnet, it doesn't become half negative and half positive, each piece has both negative and positive which makes it 2 magnets.

Look at this picture for an example

After looking around my house and doing some thinking, I only found one more Chocolate Bar thing, which was a stick. If you break a stick, technically it is two sticks.

So, how would society be if more practical things had a Chocolate Bar effect? such as cutting one carseat into two carseats or being able to cut a house in half to make two houses?

What is your opinion on this?

If I could cut a $100 bill in half and have $200, that would be awesome. I would also, more than likely, ask if someone put something in my drink.

It's an interesting thing to think about.

If you split a chocolate bar into two it's technically two chocolate bars but they would be smaller in size and therefore wouldn't last you as long. Same with the dollar bills more or less rendering them unusable as tiny 100 dollar bills very likely wouldn't be accepted. Meaning the usability would still vary based on the item. A dollar bill isn't a useful item in itself, but is useful because we give it a value so it wouldn't have a big effect on money

Still it's kind of hard to say. Splitting a house in two would get you two smaller houses. Maybe it would result in companies making just one giant version of a product and splitting it several times to mass produce things. That could certainly have convenient aspects to it and simplify that process and items formerly sold in bulk being sold just giant copies of one. Kind of an amusing thought in some ways.

Zlinqx : Based on what I know by law from the Federal Reserve, they did say as long the bill is between 51-100% intact, it will still be considered legal tender. So in reality, it's impossible to cut a hundred dollar bill and make it $200.

For the Chocolate Bar effect, if you have it in any kind of bar form, this effect happens (not if you have a round/circular item, doesn't really work), like foods, metals, plastics, woods, and a bunch of other things.

Well, thermodynamics come into play with this effect. If you could cut a house and half and it would make two houses, each would only be half as big as the original. Because energy can't just be made out of anything. So, it would be ridiculous to cut things, since most are made to accommodate the average size or a specific size of humans. Sure, you could make things twice as big, but it would mean that you could just make two things normal size. Overall, I don't think it would be very useful if everything had a chocolate bar effect. If anything, it would just be very redundant

Ghostbear1111 : I guess it's a matter of opinion. Two of my mother would be enough to drive me off a bluff. On the other hand, since they would both be totally ego-maniacal, passive aggressive jackasses, it might be interesting to watch them fist fight.

Cells already do that. It's called mitosis. Although these are semi-living beings and not magnets...Well, I think you know what I'm getting at here.
But the effect you tlk about seems rather impractical. Because having two smaller things will never be as useful as the original size.
