Here is the flow of the video that I have developed, and will show in the video:

I am going through options to see what can be done for the TdV section, as I think that the TdV section will be very popular when TdV comes around. The Fantasy TdV idea will be drawn up into more detail soon, before the next TdV, if it gains any attention. 




I am accepting any and all criticism. This video is not associated with Vizzed Productions, so all suggestions/concerns should be shared here or pm'd directly to me! If you know somebody from vizzed who might be interested in the idea, and might have some feedback - please spread the word! Summon them, pm them, throw a rock at their window - do whatever you can! I would be thankful.

What's weird is that I was thinking of something like this to post weekly as well. But, obviously, it looks like you'd do it much better than I do. This looks really interesting, and if you do decide to do it, I will be watching each and every video. Let me know if you decide to do this or not.

Thanks for the support! That is kind of weird and funny that we both thought of it at the same time! We could both make shows, and then Vizzed can have 2 exclusive videos per week! Now how cool would that be? I will most likely do this (I am really interested in it) and I think it would be awesome if you, and anyone else who wanted to, did it also!

I remember this idea from play4fun, but as many recent projects, it went down quickly.

This seems a pretty interesting idea, like a weekly journal about what has happened in this site. I like it, and could be even better when TdV starts in a couple weeks time.

If I was to make a suggestion, remove your glasses, you look way better without them. Also, if you could record your video in a single shot it would look better, the cuts are very noticeable in this example.

You definitely need to do a complete video about this. Looking forward to it!

i think you need to remove some stuff, things like "New member of the week" and "achievement", both are subjective as well as only lasting for 1 minute. this idea needs more content, i think the first video will last 10 minutes which is good but its mostly you talking (another member is needed to break the ice).

I would no doubt make it sharper in a full real video. I kept my glasses on because I was reading what to say, due to it being proof of concept and not an actual video. I will make sure to take my glasses off for the final product! The cuts will most likely exist no matter what, but I can minimize them to about 3 or 4 per video ( For things like TdV, no way will I memorize that stuff hahaha).

mastergame :

New member of the week was to help bring new members more active - give them a goal. If I see a few more people agree with you on removing it, I will remove it. I'd imagine that the content would last 8-15 minutes, which is actually pretty dang long. If I stuff more content I will lose interest in a lot of people. I won't rule that out though, so if you have any suggestions please share!

As for another member breaking the ice, I'm a bit confused on what you recommend. If you're saying to have someone, maybe by skype, talk about something - I could make it happen. Though I will want more information about the idea.

The new member idea would be nice if you could have your videos on Vizzed's Youtube channel, as it's the official source for anything related to Vizzed. Maybe we should ask the Globals if these weekly videos can make it to the main channel, or have them all pasted in a single video and post them at the end of each month.

I'm also interested in what criteria would you follow for "misc accomplishments". As mastergame said, it can be very subjective.

Seems like a good idea. Are you planning on doing it?

Unfortunately not. The support just isn't high enough for such a thing. It would take hours on hours to collect and create content to fill in the video, and it would only be viewed by about 10-20 people per week (probably less when it isn't TdV). My other videos take just as much time but get thousands of views - and for that reason I decided against doing this. 

Vizzed Productions might be able to do it, though I'm very certain that they aren't actually doing anything anymore. They've been inactive for a long while, and all suggestions seem to get ignored.

Maybe someone will steal my idea, and if so I'd be happy to see it in fruition. 

The last Vizzed Productions update was just a month ago, so that's still going on, its just that the forum is dead, so if you don't do something like this yourself I doubt it will ever happen

I got faith someone in the community will do something like this eventually! I see we have a ton of Youtubers here, yourself included haha!

Well if nobody else wants to do it as a video, then it doesn't have to actually be a video does it? Someone could always do something like a weekly newsletter thing, and I'm pretty sure that something like that would be really cool as well.

It would probably even be better for some people to see than watching a video.

In my honest opinion, the Vizzed weekly seems like a good idea, though, as Zanderlex said, it would probably be better via written format. I think the best idea would be to make it as its own thread/topic under Board, and have a broadcast banner on the top of the web client where the "Retro game room, board, control panel, member list, video game room" options are, alerting you when you come on the website that the Weekly is posted. Of course, it would have to only alert you the first time you log on to the website. It could be worth looking into. I am also in favor of the "New Member of the Week" idea, yet, I wouldn't make it a single member, more like 10-20 new members, due to the fact that not a lot of people that start here fresh faced know anyone, and it's difficult to make friends, sometimes, when you don't know anybody.

I actually like this idea but yeah, not so sure how many people we'd get viewing it. Maybe we can do some sort of collaboration though.

I'm actually impressed at the quality of the video though. You definitely seem to be willing to go all out seeing that you clearly have software required to do this and also went the extra distance to buy props for your YouTube channel.

I've been wanting to do video updates for Vizzed for quite a while now. I finally posted a thread about it as you can see here:

If there was a way to collaborate the 2 ideas that'd be cool or if there was a way to work together, that'd also be cool. I would definitely be willing to like your vizzed related videos with any of the Vizzed YouTube channels to help you get more views. I could also even embed it into various announcements once in a while when its relevant.

You mentioned that you're not going to go through with this but just in case you decide otherwise, here's a few more ideas:
-Showcase the top played games of the week
-Do a spotlight on a random game and/or system in order to draw attention to overlooked games or to give users ideas on new things to play
-Any time a well known user reaches a significant milestone of some sort, give them brief recognition
-Any time Vizzed hits a significant milestone of some sort, do something similar.

Lots of possibilities.

XiandelTV : I honestly think that we live in a time where content is better delivered through visual/sound instead of reading. Especially for the younger audience. You raise good points, too!

Skilledtree : Another possibility would be a Vizzed Monthly instead of a Vizzed Weekly. I feel like there'd be far more to cover with a Vizzed Month. For example, you could go over all of the RGR and Minecraft competition winners and their submissions from the previous month. Showing the top 3 or 5 users and what it took them to place would be cool. Also advertising the new monthly competitions would be a great way to promote those.
