I've been really interested in Star Wars recently(no it's not just force awakens hype but I'm seeing that opening weekend). I'm aware that there's a lot of great SW games like the Super Star Wars trilogy on SNES, but which ones do you guys think are the best?

I grew up with the Lego Star Wars games. Those are awesome. Appeals to all ages, and has tons of stuff from the movies as well.

I think the phantom menace game for psx is the best. The gameplay was great and there was so much to do.

I think Battlefront 2 was definitely the best.I used to play galactic conquest with my brother all the time, until we played so much we'd used up all of the memory space.(It's so much better than that other abomination I won't mention.)

I actually agree with Spidey about Battlefront 2 being the best Star Wars game out there. It's one of the only FPS games I ever truly enjoyed. Also, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is also worth mentioning, as it was one of the better Role Playing Games of the early 2000's.

Battlefront 2 was the only Star Wars game I actually enjoyed. There was one on the original Playstation that I played a demo of that was really good too actually but I don't remember the name of it. I've played a lot of Star Wars game (not even really a big fan of the series) but I've always been a huge fan of Battlefront 2.

I have recently been playing the new Battlefront game recently and need to add that to the game that I mentioned earlier. I heard bad things about the series after the first 2 but apparently they changed things so much to make sure this game was great and it is, along with Episode One, these are the only two Star Wars game that I can honestly say that I love.

If you are looking for "old" games, Dark Forces: Jedi Knight is an interesting one. It is basically Doom in the Star Wars universe with respect to the view. Of course, the story is very interesting.

But if you want to use more strategy, Star Wars: Rebellion is your game. You play either the Alliance or the Empire and try to capture the other's importance characters and / or their base. You need to tread carefully in this game because your reputation is very important. If you bomb civilian facilities (voluntarily or not), people will start hating you and maybe join the enemy.

Battlefront 2 is super fun in both multiplayer and campaign

I hate airplane/ship games, but Star Wars Starfighter is surprisingly very fun.

Knights of the Old Republic is often referred to as the greatest Star Wars games of all time. It's an RPG that you can switch between realtime and non-realtime.

My personal favorite is more of a hidden gem. Bounty Hunter for PS2 and Gamecube is honestly in my top 5 favorite video games of all time. It has a massive single-player mode, is pretty difficult, and has a lot of unique mechanics.

I've tried quite a few star wars games but there's really one game that stands out to me. Star Wars Battlefront 2. I remember buying that for the PS2 and playing that game to death to the point where the disc became really scratched. I only played local multiplayer a few times but even as a single player experience I still had a lot of fun with it and I liked that it had both ship combat and ground combat and a fairly entertaining campaign unlike the new games which I still haven't tried. The ship warfare battles were some of the most epic moments to me because they felt like they were on a bigger scale than the regular battles.

The one I've played the most is probably the Lego Star Wars games specifically 2 on the PS2 and the complete saga on xbox 360. Great casual games for kids (which I happened to be when I played them a lot) lots of things to do, the gameplay is simplistic but fun, and there's a lot of charm with funny cutscenes and stuff where they actually use the lego nature of the game which I always found to be a nice touch. Not to mention CO-OP is still fun. Nowadays the single player mode gets kind of repetitive due to how basic the gameplay is but I've still turned it on a few times as I still have the complete saga on 360.

Those are the only games I've really played a lot of, other than that I own both of the knights of the old republic games but I've still yet to play them much because my laptop doesn't take kindly to most 3D games even when they're old and I've also simply had a bunch of other games I've been playing that takes up the time I spend on video games. I remember also having played a video game adaptation of revenge of the sith on xbox but it was so long ago that I barely remember, probably wasn't as good as I remember it but played it a lot at the time though I could never fully beat it.

Edit: Moving this to video game franchises by the way since it's specifically about star wars video games.

I haven't played many Star Wars video games, but most of the ones I have played are good. My favorites are Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 for PS2, Star Wars Battlefront for Xbox One, and Star Wars - The Force Unleashed for PSP. Out of that entire group my favorite is Battlefront, one of my most played games on my Xbox One.

From what I hear, knights of the old Republic is the best.

Super Star Wars, Super Return of the Jedi, Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron, Rogue Leader, Lego Star Wars, and The Old Republic.

It really all comes down to what you prefer in a Star Wars game to be honest. If you're looking for less serious episodic action then the Lego Star Wars games are perfect for you. If you enjoy a galactic shooter then the Star Wars Battlefront games are for you. The only Star Wars game that I disliked was Rogue Squadron.

Quite honestly, my favorite of the Star Wars games are the Lego Star Wars games.

For both the wii and the DS, the Lego star wars games are actually fun to play, have an amazing multiplayer, follow the story, and also do have some hard parts to them. (Which can get quite frustrating)

Some of the other games are pretty cool, but the Lego Star wars are able to somehow beat them out lol. 

KotOR (Knights of the Old Republic) was a great game back in it's day, and I still have the Star Wars Pod Racing game for N64 which was an amazingly unique racing game that was done extremely well. Those would have to be my 2 favorite Star Wars games to date.

I think my favorite would have to be Battlefront (2015). I sometimes play it on my friend's Xbox. I think it's pretty cool, but I just want to try some of the older games too.
