Hi guys. Several weeks ago, I found a posting on the official page of Sonic the Hedgehog on Facebook.
Had a photo of Big the Cat (a doll) holding a sign that read: 04.01.2016. Keep it secret. Keep it safe.
Behind the doll, there is a screen with a picture of Big the Cat, Drawn by Arin from Game Grumps.

Oh no... That would absolutely terrible. Big the Cat is actually my least favorite character in video gaming history, so hearing that he could make a return makes me sick to my stomach... *sees the April 1st 2016 part*, oh thank god, it's just a prank.

I have to agree with Sword Legion on this. While I can very barely respect the character himself, his use is just...well...laughable, to put it lightly. The only time he's ever had a semblance of use to me was in the RPG game, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for the Nintendo DS, since he was one of the best wall characters in the game, and actually necessary in some portions of the game. Other than that, though, well...I don't really care for him. At all.

I highly doubt that they will add Big the Cat in any future Sonic-related game because on how unpopular he was, and they (Sega) knows that if they add Big again, their reputation will sink once again and they already had enough problems between 2006-2009. Even personally myself, he looks decent, but his attitude is not appropriate for a comeback.

If it wasn't for the sign though I'd honestly be scared, you would think SEGA should have the common sense not to bring back Big the Cat since he's probably the most hated Sonic character out there, but they also keep making the same mistakes with their games and seem completely out of touch with Sonic fans so it honestly wouldn't suprise me that much if they were stupid enough to think that it would lead to nostalgia for old fans.

I mean, it's possible to make a game with a character that was formally hated. I mean it would be kinda funny if they somehow took a polarizing character and turned it into a great game. For example, when Nintendo started making games starring Wario, people were skeptical at first too.
