So on November 20th, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon was released in the U.S. I've been playing that game pretty much nonstop since it came out during my free time. I was wondering if anyone else here has it? If not, then are you planning to buy it? To me, it's almost as good as Time/Darkness/Sky were for the DS. It's what I imagined a 3DS Mystery Dungeon game would be like, unlike Gates to Infinity, which was bad.

Same with Ian, I'll have to wait once it comes out in February. Why are you doing this to me, Nintendo! I am pretty excited for this game. I try not to look up any information about the game. It is going to be difficult because almost all of my favorite Pokémon Youtubers make a playthrough of it. I want to be surprised by this game, just like in Explores of Darkness.

I admit, I actually liked Gates to Infinity, minus the idiocy that was the choice of Pokémon you could be (five Pokémon? FIVE?!) and its admittedly easy difficulty. It added many interesting features, but I know many people wrote it off for its lacking choice in Pokémon, which I can't exactly blame people for. It's a valid reason, even though I don't value it as much as it probably should be valued.

I'm planning to get Super Mystery Dungeon. It looks like it fixes the few big problems I had with Gates to Infinity, while still being equally as enjoyable to play. My problem is, I don't know when I'll be getting it.

I downloaded Super Mystery Dungeon from the eShop (did it a couple of days prior for the free theme). I can tell you, it is fun and between this and Gates of Infinity, I felt like SMD is a whole lot better than GoI, the reason I say so is because the gameplay is a whole lot easier (in the last game, I couldn't get through the 2nd boss without having problems), also, I felt like the storyline is a whole lot better than GoI, because the GoI storyline seem kinda bland, but that might just be my opinion.

I do like this game a whole lot, feels like a Mystery Dungeon game to be honest.

I love Mystery Dungeon games, but sadly, I don't have a 3DS, so I won't be playing Super Mystery Dungeon anytime soon. It's a shame, as I really liked Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

I got Super Mystery Dungeon for Christmas, I haven't finished it yet, but it's already my favorite in the series. Something that really stood out to me is your partner. He actually has a personality in this game, which I feel was needed. I felt that the past partners were sort of bland.

I wanted to buy it. I REALLY did. But my lack of a 3DS kind of kills my chance of getting it any time soon so I spoiled myself on it.
I will say I think it looks leagues ahead of GoI, in terms of both recruitment options and story. Since it seems you can literally recruit every single pokemon via missions, there's no shortage of things to do.
Hopefully one day I'll still get to play the game but until then I'll go jam out to the great soundtrack.

I actually own a copy myself...but i am thinking of selling it, already beat the game and all...but its sort of boring now. even though there is a after game thing which i havent gotten to. i would rather not because its just...the story line just kinda didnt reach expectations so i am just done with the game. Gonna probably gift it to one my friends though...I wound up being chimchar as a starter. Oh also you can only be starter pokemon along with your partner...pikachu is included into this catergory. All in all. it wasnt really worth the excitement that it had and kinda sunk my expectations.

I have considered purchasing it but as bad as Pokemon Gates to Infinity was I'm just gonna need a break from the series entirely. My first priority as of right now is to get Pokemon Sun and Moon on its release date then maybe I can consider buying Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon if its as good as everybody says it is.
