I just made a foil wrap dinner for the first time. It was sweet sausage, pre-cooked, mixed with squash and zucchini, both quartered and cut up small, with a pile of northern beans in the middle and tomatoes. All that goes into a foil wrap that gets closed up like a Christmas present of food goodness, goes in to the oven at 425 for 15 minutes, and comes out steaming and ready to go.

I threw some peso sauce on there just to church things up a little bit and we dug in. I also do the trick with the sourdough bread roll where I run it under water from the faucet and put it in the oven. The evaporating water gives the bread a nice firm crunch and gets rid of the soggy, disgusting texture of dried out bread.

All of that makes dinner. Bam.

I'm going to eating, soon because the kitchen is filling with aroma, some sockeye salmon freeze dried and sent from Alaska. My wife's parents took a trip and they picked a few filets for us to fire away.

I'm going with a buttered, lemon and parmesan baked salmon. It's melted butter, lemon juice, parmesan cheese shredded, along with thyme, baked on the fish in foil packets. That, paired with re-baked sourdough boule, and mixed with a green garden salad with veggies from our garden out back, will make a nice pairing with toasted almond couscous. I'm thinking a nice chilled white wine, something on the less-sweet end to not confuse the mix of flavors with the fish and the rest of the food.

My two year old is getting milk. My 9 month old is getting something out of a jar. Her stomach can't handle the fish just yet.

I am working on starvation so far lol I actually had a Nature Valley Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Protein Bar, wheat bread with Sargento Colby Jack cheese and some Turkey spiced cold cut and left over of my Mango Pineapple Smoothie from last night when I was eating Maple & Fruit Oatmeal. I am hungry- on my way soon to eat some rice, potatoes, and chicken. I barely eat at my mother's she's always making rice goodness sake- I rather cook my own but, I'm hungry so rice it is.
