So, I feel like I've given Dave lots and lots of time to celebrate his becoming a father for the first time so I'm finally making this thread to announce that my wife is also pregnant.

We're actually due a week or 2 earlier than Dave's wife is. Due date right now is Aug 26th.

So far it's been a lot worse than the first pregnancy. A lot more morning sickness and tiredness and such. She's a trooper though and it helps that our daughter is starting to mature a lot faster than she was before my wife was pregnant.

So yeah, we're pretty excited. Of course I'll announce gender when we find out but that won't be for a couple months yet.

Good job I guess , now your current child have a brother/sister .


I hope your wife is okay , vomiting in the morning is NOT the best way to start your day .

well, morning sickness is just the general term for it.... there is no time restriction for it.

But she just went in for her first check up and she got a prescription for diclectin (I probably spelled that wrong) which is something to help prevent nausea and vomiting so hopefully this will help her feel better.

Congrats with the second child geeo do you think it will be hard with two children?

I already knew about but just didn't remember you saying that yours was due before ours, either way, congratulations. Right when I catch up to you in something, you go an do this to get ahead of me again lol.

But seriously, congratulations, it'll be fun for you 2 have to kids, that way they have both of someone else to play with. I'd imagine you'll have a lot less time for vizzed once he or she is born, I know that'll be the case when my child is born.

rbaranishyn: yeah, I've heard having 2 is quite a bit harder but we've also got the practice of having 1 already. We'll see how it goes. Our first one is fairly independent so hopefully she stays that way.

gtwalq: yup, totally planned. After Gabby turned 1 we decided to start trying again. It took us nearly a year last time to finally get pregnant and successfully have a child so we figured better to start early.

Jigsaw: we actually both want another girl.

Joebab: yeah, it'll be about 22 months if the due date stays where it is.... either way it'll be close enough to 2 years. That's what we were hoping for.

David: hahaha, fair enough. And yeah, it does take some time away.... although for the early months the wife seems to have more to do than the husband. Depends on how duties are divided up.

Congrats to you. A second on should be a bit easier to take care since you've had the experience. Teach them something useful at an early age so they develop it as they grow older.

Cyro: we plan to. We figure music as at least one thing we want all our kids to do. Even if it's just enough that they have a moderate understand of music. Other than that we're not sure. We're both pretty open to our kids doing something "on the side" sort of thing. I dont' want to be the obsessive type parent that once I find out my kid has a talent in anything that I push them so hard that they start to hate it.
