First of all, has anyone ever listened to music while posting on here, especially on a Tour de Vizzed bang-out? That's a stupid question, probably about 85% of you have.
But, I do feel that you can really get more posts out when listening to music. Do you agree? Do you not? Tell me!

Hm. I tend to have music for almost everything I do in life. I'd say it helps keep me relaxed, which obviously helps me think of more awesome things to say. The music itself can at times inspire a new idea or topic to talk about! Granted, it might not happen often, but it does happen.

It's sort of weird how, depending on the genre I play, I tend to gravitate towards a specific tone and/or type of post. Instrumentals make me feel like some kind of thinker who thinks about life and everything in it. Dub Step makes me feel upbeat, and I tend to aim for positive posts that are short yet sharp. Pop, R&B, and rap tend to have no effect on what I'm posting, but I usually doesn't listen to those genres.

There's a few more genres with different effects, but it's just really neat to see how music can actually sway you to doing something in a specific way. *Cheesy Line Incoming* Music is pretty magical, I guess!

Nah, it makes no change. It's all about the places you have to post, how active threads are and how clear you have the answer (I can spend 10 minutes in a short reply just because I mess up what I want to say).

I actually don't listen to music AT ALL when I'm doing something online. I will ONLY listen to music when I'm on my laptop if it comes from YouTube and I actually watch the video, but other than that I only listen to music while I'm walking and sometimes while I'm on the bus or train, but other than that I don't listen to music any other times, not even when I'm home.

I do this all the time during TdV months XD Normally, I just do it so I feel more motivated to post up a storm! Sometimes it doesn't even work though. That's probably when I know I should finish up and get ready for bed. Last night, I stayed up pretty late and the music wasn't even affecting me a bit, so I was posting pretty slow.

It's funny that you should mention this because I am posting while listening to music on my headphones at the moment. Nothing is more important to mass amounts of posting than having new threads and an idea of where you want to post, however, music is good for getting hyped up and staying interested in the activity the way I see it.

It really helps me feel motivated to post and participate in things I wouldn't normally indulge in. For instance, I didn't plan on posting at all today, but while listening to music at my computer, I feel interested in doing so all of the sudden. It's interesting how that works.

I usually don't bother with music, unless I'm reading over a sad forum. Then I go on youtube, start playing a bunch of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon music, and start weeping loudly.

It's actually interesting to see the different responses. I truly believe that the music I listen to helps and inspires different types of posts and content within the posts, as I mentioned earlier in the thread. I began to look it up and do some research, and there's articles defending both sides - basically to the point that I am forced to assume that it must be a placebo effect.

Maybe because I think that it helps, it really does help... just it really doesn't? I don't know, but like I said, I really do need music in my life anymore. Even if it's basically so low I can't make out the words, it needs to be there.

Not sure, but I think Sad Violin could really help you out there. I play that song to troll friends sometimes I say something that they don't like.

I usually watch TV shows while I post right now. I find I don't post fast enough most of the time for it to matter. I get to post and watch a show at the same time and it works out pretty well. Still, I do prefer music (without lyrics) over TV if I'm trying to post a lot. Keeps my brain active but isn't distracting with lyrics or dialogue.
