So, I have a question for those who stay strong in their belief in Christianity.

My question is, in a world that seemingly shames those who believe in Christianity, how do you stay strong? I've noticed that famous people who actively show their devotion to Christianity are often shamed by so many people. As a well known example, Tim Tebow is known for his devotion to Jesus Christ. If you actively follow him on social networking like I do, you will notice that a large (and I mean very large) amount of people will bash him. It's depressing, the guy is a great guy. He helps people in so many ways, and yet the world seemingly shames him because he believes in a higher power. I'm sure we all know an example (if not many) of these types of situations.

So this brings me to my personal experience. In high school, I would actually be made fun of for praying before every meal (Breakfast and Lunch). It was a weird subject, too. I couldn't tell anyone that it was happening, because then I would have been labeled. So, I ended up stopping and they stopped making fun of me. Now, as an adult I have returned to prayer in public, but I still run into questioning faith once in awhile because people just bash Christianity so often.

I always see people saying things like: "The Bible proves God exists, like Spider Man comics prove Spider Man exists." Now, I don't want to get political, but it boggles my mind that other religions seem to just slide by every one's radar. Yet, Christianity takes hate from many outlets.

Now a lot of people say science and religion can not exist together, which I find silly. I feel that you just can't have religion without science, and science is helped with religion. Of course, whenever anything is proven, it automatically disproves the bible because <insert reason here>.

So, I am forced to wonder, why can't the world accept both sides of the coin. I know there are extremists for both Christians and non-Christians, but they do not and never will represent the majority.

I just really would like to know how you, the devoted Christian, can handle the heat that is given way more often than deserved. Do you also question faith at times, or have you found a way to stick through it?

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see some responses.

I stay strong because it's the truth.

Both sides say completely fallacious things. "I know God to be real because I can feel him" is not a valid argument. Neither is "I can't feel God therefore he's not real". The insults of the non-Christian are often proper counter-arguments for infantile Christians, but they are not for those that make huge effort at a rational basis for faith.

I do not believe that the Bible is true because it says it's true. That's circular reasoning, and is a fallacy. History credits the truth of the Bible beyond any other ancient document, by far, as does archaeology and non-Christian references. This is the support for the truth of the Bible: that those who wrote it were not liars, as is more than compatible with the rest of the historical records. Non-biblical sources dismiss objections to those who would call the history of the Bible "lies", "lunacy", or "legend".

And this isn't limited to just trusting the Bible. It's rational for everything.
