Have you ever had a game that as a child,you thought "This is horrible."

Then you pick again later in life and think "This is better than I thought a few years before."

I'm just curious,feel free to post anything like Sonic Labyrinth, I won't judge.

P.S Sonic Labyrinth was a example.

basically any game that required thinking and dying quickly i didnt like lol

I would say Crash Nitro Kart I never liked it because it was a sequel to crash team racing. The only thing that I didn't like was how they changed the boosting more of controlling. As from in crash team racing you train to get better at boosting while on CNK they made it easier. I like it a little better now only because of the adventure mode.

Tales of Phantasia. When I first played it, I felt that it was too difficult because I was terrible at games like it. Later, I got a copy and never got past the first real dungeon after going back to the past. I didn't know how the combat in the game was supposed to be played. Now, I recently started playing the game again on Vizzed, and it's way better than I remember it being. Hell, you can actually sort of make combos, like a fighting game! It's a very interesting game when you actually learn how to play it.

Sonic pinball.(Genesis) It was just the gameplay in General.

I don't remember which one I was, but it was one of the old final fantasy games many years ago. I just hated it and it ruined the series for me for more than a decade.

I remember disliking pokemon when I was really little because I was much too impatient for RPGs. Then a few years later I found out what I had been missing out on.

I remember being really frustrated playing games like SSB 64 and even melee when I was younger. I didn't know any advanced techniques and I wasn't nearly the type of player as I am today. Looking back on it, I can understand how my inexperience led to my frustration and also my disliking of the game to a degree. I'm just glad that I didn't completely turn away from smash later on down the road because I now find all the smash games to be very enjoyable.  

Razor-987 : I'm with you there Razor,once I got better at SSB B I liked it more, but that's a review for another day.

I could never play Super Mario Bros 3 as I found it too difficult and could barely get past the second level. I found Super Mario World more interesting as a child, since it was more colorful and I usually came a bit further in that. It also had Yoshi, which was a huge plus when you asked kid me!

I just recently started playing smb3 again in the Retro Game Room, and I'm having a pretty swell time. I sure see why people consider this one of the best Mario games!

Sonic 2 was probably that game. I was never able to pass Chemical Plant 2 on my own. I guess a PSX controller (by playing The Sega Mega Collection) was what I needed because I can now scroll through The game with much better ease.

Final Fantasy X would be mine.

I started off very much disliking all Final Fantasy titles. Maybe it was because I wasn't very good at them? Ironically, later in life (about a year or two) I came back and tried it again. I ended up absolutely falling in love with Final Fantasy X, and to this day it is my favorite game. I mean, I guess I really didn't appreciate the amount of detail that was in the game. The turn based fighting, the story, Yuna in all of her glory, blitzball, I mean everything. I am so glad I tried it again, otherwise my favorite game would probably be something like Call of Duty.

Sadly, Final Fantasy VII didn't make the cut. I didn't like it the first time, and I still don't like it much to this day. I know that's an extremely unpopular opinion, but it's my opinion none the less.

One game that I disliked as a child was the Donkey Kong Country game for the GBC. I've never been a fan of the Country series, and that games a huge reason why. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

Skilledtree : I partially agree with you on Final Fantasy VII. It is not a game "I do not like", but yes it was over hyped. The materia system was frustrating, The graphics and music were terrible (compared to VIII anyway) and some quests like setting those people to dig was frustrating.

There was one game that I played as a little kid called Clash at Demonhead for the NES. It was one of the very first video games that I ever played in my life and as a child, I had no idea what to do or what was going on. I was basically just shooting everything I saw and I collected as much money, gold, and force as I possibly could. I didn't know what else I could do. I thought the game was absolutely pointless, and I eventually put it away for a really long time.

Then a few years later, I pulled the game back out and played it again. Being older, smarter, and more mature I actually knew what to do to beat the game. After I eventually beat it, it ended up being one of my favorite games ever to play and every once in a while I still play it today. I even made a walkthrough for it on here. I just absolutely hated it as a kid.

My dad once bought me Jet Force Gemini for the N64 when I was little and I didn't really care for it much at the time.  Years later, I went back to it and played the multiplayer with some friends and had a blast.  I still haven't gone back and played the single player really but I have a much higher opinion of the game now than I did back then.

I just hated Banjo & Kazooie because the music and talking was weird to me. 

I mean all you heard was " Ra wei ra ra wei ra wei " or something around those lines.

It was strange but I somehow still played the game even though I hated it. I guess my love for adventure games helped me through it all. xD

Super Mario World.

It was really strange at first because I never played a vg before!

Then I completed my first level.

A year later I almost got to world of the vanilla dome.

Whenever I play super Mario world, I have all ability to dance, prance And show my agility.

And three years later in 2011-2012 I defeated bowser!

I was so pleased that I passed out!
