The Pokemon Company is bringing us a brand new Pokemon experience called Pokemon GO.

The idea for this game is for players to collect and battle Pokémon by exploring the real world. Pokemon Go will use real location information for all player's to experience this whole new world.

This game releases in 2016 for iPhone and Android devices.

Here is the trialer
https://youtu.be/2sj2iQyBTQs

In the beginning of the trialer you see a women holding something that look's like a Pokeball, but with a point at the bottom of the ball. That is called Pokemon Go Plus. To put it simply it's basically a Nintendo-bulit Bluetooth smartwatch that give's you a presence in the Pokemon GO world without having to actively use your phone. Let's say there is a Eevee walking near a street close to your house, your watch would flash and buzz to let you know there is a Pokemon nearby ready to be captured. Pokemon Go Plus isn't needed to Play Pokemon Go, it was meant to make the player's experience easier.

There isn't much game play that was shown during the trailer. So there's not that much information yet. Beside's that I thought the trailer was pretty cool and I wouldn't mind giving this game a shot. I just hope the game is actually good to play.

What are your thought's about this new Pokemon experience ?

Do you think this was a creative idea for a Pokemon Game ?

I think Pokemon Go will be an interesting game, but not I'm sure if it will be a blast, though (I could be wrong). This game is quite creative, since people will now know how it feels to be a real Pokemon trainer. I was expecting a Pokemon Z trailer...

I just saw the trailer, and I saw this very long ago. It was posted as an April fools joke. But to actually do it for real? I am surprised about that. If this actually happens I may get to over excited so I am going to wait a bit more... XD

I've always wanted this to happen. I can't wait to go diving and find a Shellder sticking its tongue out

Talking seriously, I think this was just natural to happen. In a few years time, the people who has played/watched Pokemon since the very beginning will start to have kids, and this is an awesome way to teach said kids what Pokemon are and why was it a blast when it first came out.

I'm just wondering how much of what we have seen in the trailer is actually game footage. If we really are going to have scenes like the skate park, I'm definitely in for this.

A pokemon game that makes you go outside? Bravo Nintendo....

But in all seriousness, this looks like a neat thing. I might actually download it once it comes out. It's like...You ARE a trainer! I really hope this game ends up being a lot of fun. And maybe they won't space out Pokemon too far away.

I bet the water types are all going to be in the middle of the ocean. xP

I'm super excited for this, especially since I plan on travelling a lot in my future

This is something I've wanted for a while, now just hope the execution matches the promise.

Looking forward to seeing Trubbish in places like LA and NYC.

A user of this :

I think you'll be able to find Wailords and Lapras like creatures on the coasts of the US. If you can go whale watching in California, I'm fairly certain you can also go Wailord watching

This is the greatest thing to happen to Pokémon since Red and Blue. Pokémon Go will be extraordinary. And I am fully looking forward to it. This will be the next step to having real Pokémon at our side. I hope it comes with support for Google glass, making this just a little more interactive. I need this now! Right Now!

I get the feeling it's going to be hampered by microtransactions.  I have hope that the core gameplay will be intact, but in order to prevent Pokemon GO from taking away Nintendo's "cash cow", I predict options will be limited and items must be bought to have a full experience.  Nintendo prides itself on its products.  If Pokemon GO were to be an experience not unlike the core games, then it would likely take away popularity from them.  There will likely be certain features locked behind a paywall, such as TMs and even certain Pokemon.  I imagine Nintendo will depend on the excitement of the social features of the game to boost the game's popularity and sell the extra content.  They also might have certain "competitions", where only so many people get something, such as in Pokemon Shuffle.  This largely encouraged players to pay to win.  I say this not to spread a feeling of doom but of caution.  Pokemon Shuffle took away many hours of my life, and its sometimes purposefully unfair levels encouraged paying to win.  I didn't pay a cent, and I feel that much of my time was wasted.

Just saw this trailer today. This is a very interesting concept. It is bringing the ideas of pokemon and making it more connected to your real life. And to add that people can actually battle each other just through your smart phone and (assuming from pokemon that you "caught"), it's like putting you in the world of Pokemon Red and Blue, and actually seek out pokemon and have a more personal connection with the lore and the world.

Hopefully, we won't be going into a battle if someone is looking at you in real life, lol.

legacyme3 : You'll get used to seeing Garbodor and Trubbish in places like that. Maybe an occasional rattata or two to liven things up XD.

This is definitely a breath of fresh air because it offers a new level of involvement and interaction with pokemon as opposed to the traditional games.

I think supernerd's statement could definitely end up being the reality of this game. Far too many games put a large amount of emphasis on paying to play. It isn't Farfetch'd (see what I did there? XD) to say that nintendo will definitely add a plethora of extra features and content that will require money to get all of the exclusive extras. I imagine that minor things like having a feacebook/twitter or sharing the game with someone will reap benefits that would otherwise be inaccessible to players that don't have a social media, or don't intend on spending money. I'm sure there will also be tournament leaderboard where only the top players receive exclusive pokemon or items. Something like this isn't entirely out of the question for Nintendo.

This is what I am looking forward on getting. I have seen the trailer earlier today and I really like "Must have game". When I was little when I first liked Pokemon (between 2000 - 2004) I always dream to captured Pokemon in real life, but after my 10-year hiatus from the series and came back in 2014, I had this same dream to occur again. We got a mobile app coming out where you can do this, and every Pokefan's dream has came true.

Although Nintendo first tried this interactive feature out with the Dream Radar game on the 3DS (by using your 3DS's camera) and capture those Pokemon, but since now Nintendo wants to put more games into mobile, they figure that they add this new interactive game to the mix.

They did say that the app will have "In-App Purchases", so, more in likely that you have to pay to use some features, I think they will do like they did with the Pokedex 3D Pro app (unlock Pokemon by region, like start out with Kanto for free, but then you have to buy the other 5 regions)

For me with where I live, I will more likely expect a lot of Poison, Bug, Flying, & Dark type Pokemon, which 2 of the 4 I mentioned are my favorite types.

I think it will mostly depends on where your mobile phone is located, like if you live in the Mountains, you'll expect a lot of Rock types; live in a desert; you'll expect a lot of Ground types; live in a forest, you'll expect a lot of Grass types; live in the coastline, you'll expect a lot of Water types; live in a Swamp (like me), you'll expect a lot of Poison/Bug types.

So, who knows, I could more likely expect to see Venipede, Whirlipede, and Scolipede and a few others as well

Eniitan : Well, we are on the other side of the year from April Fools, so, I don't think we have anything to worry about, if this was March right now, it would of been a different story.

Not looking to ruin other people's excitement but I'm pretty skeptical about the game.

I mean yeah the concept sounds good, but if the transaction model is anything like Shuffle it'll likely be pay to win. And with all the kinks they'd have to work around to actually get it to work, I'm skeptical it'll be as good as people think. I don't think they'll be super specific about where you can find certain Pokemon (like only finding poison/dark types etc in the city) because that would turn away some people from playing the game and make there be way more Poison/Dark types than others. I know I might be a bit cynical but I just find it hard to get as excited as some others.

This does seem like the kind of progression the game is supposed to take though. Pokemon has always been about being an accessible game for everyone so making a mobile Pokemon game makes sense (and will likely earn Nintendo more money) and if executed right would help it be more of a social experience as it's supposed to be. People have also been wanting this for years, so again not suprising, also reminds me a bit of the The Denpa Men games.

It is a really interesting concept but I think Pokémon GO will be very limited for most users. It would be impossible to catch 'em all, unless you are willing to travel across the whole world (sadly not everyone likes to travel). And probably all you find in your hometown is two or three different kinds of Pokémon. The idea is fun though, who doesn't want to catch Pokémon in your own world.

play4fun : I can already imagine what you are going to do when you get the app - Going to the nearest swamp/lake area. Trying to find a Mudkip, also catching it. Posting on Vizzed: ''I caught the real TornadoMudkip, she's adorable''!
