Okay, so recently I was playing one of my most cherished Pokémon games, and that was Pokémon Coliseum for the GameCube, and I must say, I realized something rather important. Look at every Pokémon game you have ever played, and ask yourself this...which starter Pokémon did you choose and which one was your favorite? If you cant remember your first then hey its okay! Just tell me your own favorite starter then.

Now to remind everyone, please keep this as nice as possible. I don't want people saying how one starter sucks or anything, this is more or less a post that lets you remember your first and favorite or both. So please, be nice to your fellow gamers.

For example, my first and favorite starter was, surprisingly, Cyndaquil, a fire type Pokémon introduced during the Silver and Gold versions of Pokémon during the Gameboy Color era. (Geez who remembers those lol) The reason why is because I really enjoyed training and raising him, and it was truly worth it. I mean yeah in Pokémon X and Y Fenniken is my favorite, but she wasn't my first. True story.

Cyndaquil from Silver, though I can't help but say that the grass type in every game always seems inferior, seeing as they usually are the one with the disadvantage early in the game (or it was in Silver anyway).

ZeegSerpentine : My first pokemon game was Blue and I chose the starter Squirtle cause I mean why not he was like the cutest and quirkiest to me so it was a perfect choice and I like the element of Water and I really enjoyed playing through with him, But it was until after that game I really actually loved like all the Grass starters. Also it was pretty easy sailing through that game starting with a Water type I mean since the first gym is rock and such.

Pokemon yellow was the one to go! I mean my first lol. I always had a thing for bulbasuar....I liked the other starters but not as much as bulbasuar. Since then I grew up to knew what moves he would get for leveling up, and the ones that I needed for to face gym leaders and such. Maybe because that I really liked grass pokemon back then? Who knows.

My first Pokemon game was Emerald, and Treecko was my very first starter, but my favorite starter is either Bulbasaur or Squirtle. Charmender seems a bit overrated...

To be completely honest with everyone, I don't really count Yellow version as a game for me to count starters sense your starter is mandatory Pikachu. Of course if you love Pikachu then hey that's okay, but to me, Pikachu is the most overrated pokemon in the series and the game. Again, personal thing for me. Sorry.

My first starter that I chose was squirtle. And the rest is history.

I started on Yellow, so Pikachu. I can't remember the first I caught, but I think my first starter in the next game I played was Bulbasaur...not sure, it's been nearly twenty years.

Well silver was my first pokemon game but my favorite starter pokemon is charamander even if he is overrated :p

The first pokemon game I played was ruby,  and I chose torchic.

It was either Gold or Crystal, but I know I picked a Chikorita as my starter. It was amazing in battle and didn't faint once during my entire adventure. It started my love for grass type starters and grass types as a whole. While Furret will always be my favorite pokemon, Meganium has a secured second place.

I feel like people hate on it purely because of its type effectiveness against the Johto gyms and not for being a bad pokemon. Meganium can be an amazing lower tier wall with the correct investments. With leaf guard it can get free rests off in a sun team, making it even better. 

The very first starter that I ever had I believe was Totidile, for my Gold

My first pokemon by default was Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow. It was the first pokemon I was given, but the first pokemon I caught was a Mankey I believe (I don't think I used it past the first few gyms). I really enjoyed using Pikachu in Yellow however, and at the time I was playing it, I didn't watch the anime, so I really didn't have a clue how overhyped Pikachu actually was. He was pretty useless in the first gym, but it really helped me out in the water gym against Misty's Starmie which was always a pain to deal with if you didn't have a Butterfree with confusion. 

Back then, I don't think I bothered to evolve it into a Raichu (It's been so long, so I can't remember what I did), but I definitely think Raichu is a better option to Pikachu, even if it doesn't get as much attention as Pikachu. 

My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Ruby, and my first Pokémon (Of course,it's a starter) was Treecko. It was the first Pokémon I leveled up to Lvl 100. To this day, my favorite Hoenn starter is the adorable little lizard. But the first Pokémon I ever caught was a Marill. I deposited it after the 3rd gym. I don't remember why, but I did.

My first pokemon game was emerald and the first pokemon I chose was treecko because he looked the coolest out of the 3 (If I knew a thing about stats and stuff, it would've been mudkip)

My first Pokémon game was Yellow so I didn't get a choice. It gives you Pikachu automatically. But from playing the other two and the remakes later I loved Squirtle. But out of all the starters I think my favorite is.........IDK.... too many... but seeing as I already said my kanto favorite I will say the others. Cyndaquil in johto, I like all three in hoenn and sinnoh, unova is snivy, and kalos is froakie. There we go all my fav. starters.  

The Star of Music : Not going to lie, but seeing your background for this post automatically made me think that Lucario was your favorite game. Not going to lie.

ZeegSerpentine : Lucario is not a game lol. But he is my favorite Pokémon but he is not a starter so it didn't count.

Cyndaquil from Pokemon Gold. I did also play Yellow 8 months after I got Gold so both Cyndaquil and Pikachu.

The very first Pokémon game I ever played was Pokémon Crystal for the Game Boy Color.  I actually did not play this game until I was a Junior in High School (back in late 2010).  When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to play Pokémon games, so I lost interest until a friend let me borrow Crystal.

My first starter was Cyndaquil, and while I cannot name a favorite starter, Cyndaquil is definitely one of my favorites.
