I usually don't use headphones for gaming. I just tend to close the door to my room whenever I'm player something to not annoy people around me. Which I prefer doing over using headphones. I've really only used headphones a few times when playing on my 3ds.

When I'm on PC I always use headphones. Part of it is so that no one else has to hear my game, but also because I'm usually on Teamspeak with my IRL friends while I'm playing. Also, now that I'm running Windows 10 it's super convenient to say, "Cortana, launch 'X game.'"

When I'm playing other consoles I won't use my headset. Part of that is because I don't want to crawl under my desk to unplug the headset from the back of my PC, but also because I don't know where the headphone jack on my TV is...

ThanatosUnraveld : That sounds like a great idea to me. My headphones were only $10 and they work really well for me. They do a really good job with video game sound, which makes me proud to have them! I got a very nice deal with buying those headphones.

Most of the time my games sound way better with my headphones and they make me feel like I'm actually inside the game

Yes, and if not headphones then earbuds. I like to hear everything, from background music to the SFX. I enjoy the game a whole lot better that way. Plus, if I don't where headphones/earbuds, I am usually asked to either wear some, or turn the sound completely off, so.

It's kind of funny. When I was younger, I used to actually hate listening to games I was playing. So, most times I just muted whatever I was playing.

Now, I can't play a game without headphones. I personally like the higher sound quality that headphones provide, and it also works to keep people from being annoyed but whatever it is I am listening to.

I don't always use headphones for gaming, but I do like the pleasure of having the headphones. The only time I actually use them though is when I'm playing online, like multiplayer. Especially when I'm playing any of the Call of Duty games, the headphones I use actually block out any of the outside noise so even when an enemy is close by, I can hear their footsteps. I sometimes also use the headphones when I'm playing a racing game, especially when I like the soundtrack for it. I can obviously hear the music way better with the headphones.

The bad thing about it is when I wear them for a long period of time, they tend to hurt my ears a little. I don't know why but when I first take them off, I can feel a little throbbing pain for just a short amount of time. I don't mind it really, but its just so darn inconvenient sometimes.

I don't normally use headphones when I play games. But I had to buy some because my dad likes to blast his music at random times during the day. So that's where the headphones would come in. I had these headphones for quite a while now they are compatible with Xbox 360, not sure if they work for Xbox One ( they might). I brought myself Turtle Beach XO 4 headphones. It took me a while to get use to them because like I said I don't normally use headphones. The headphones work great, it has the ability to mix volumes between chat and game sources and the audio is high quality. I use them for games like Halo, Gears of War, shooters basically and some times for my fighting games as well.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
