So I know Minions is supposed to be good, but is it worth spending the extra money to see it before it comes out? I never actually saw any of the Dispicable Me movies aside for a few scenes and know its good and I have tickets for the premiere which happens to be tonight but is it supposed to be a good enough of a movie to go to the premiere tonight instead of when it comes out ir is it better to just wait for it to come out in a theater near me or just not watch it at all?

Wait, you have tickets? Then why wouldn't you just go if it's not going to cost you more?

I would say, if you like animated films, go for it. It looks like it will be one of the funnier ones, though it's hard to tell. Besides, it's in 3D which is a nice feature.

zanderlex : Early reviews are generally positive (it has a 63 on Metacritic), and the Despicable Me movies were pretty funny.  I expect this movie would follow suit.  I actually enjoyed Despicable Me 2 more than the first, despite the less favorable reviews for the second movie.  I suggest you expect a lot of slapstick humor.  The DM movies made good use of it.  I don't know whether that's your sort of thing, but I plan to see this movie sometime in the future.

I wasn't able to see it. I had a few tickets and after a lot of confusion leading up to about an hour before the movie the people I were going to take with me had no idea it was that day and didn't even realize it passed until yesterday. And without them I didn't have enough money to get from work to the theater and then home so I couldn't go.
