This is like, my dream game, and the first trailer for it just came out. It's like literally having Half-Life 3 confirmed.

I know these things go in cycles, but I can't wait for Bethesda to go back to their good IP, Elder Scrolls.

IM SO HAPPY TO SEE FALLOUT 4 IN BEEN WAITING FOR A LONG TIME............ but why is only PS 4 why didn't they also put it on last gen to I mean they are just asking to lose money, and did anyone else get a bit of a Bioshock feel from the trailer?

THE HYPE IS REAL!

I saw the trailer the minute it came out. I will admit I was actually hoping more for an Elder Scrolls announcement after the disaster that was Tamriel.

However I'll be a little more patient I suppose. The game takes place in Boston I heard. If I could wish for one thing is that they expand the main story a bit more. I'd also like to see some vaults with people in them and not all of them being abandoned by everyone having killed themselves =p.

They didn't put it on last gen for the same reason many don't put their games on last gen anymore...

It just isn't technically possible, and they'd have to downgrade the quality of the game down to make it work.

We're in that sweet spot of the console's lifespan where some games are still feasible on the PS3, but some just aren't anymore.

Fallout 4 is going to be large, technically beautiful, and have a lot of working parts that the PS4 processor can handle, but the PS3 one can't.

If they dulled down the game for PS3, some would buy it, but it's plausible that the PS4 version would also be downgraded, due to less people on the project, and less overall man hours.

This is about Bethesda putting out the best quality product it can (although it'll still be a buggy mess. It's a Bethesda game after all) with the crew they have.

I'm excited, but I wish it was getting released on the 360 because I won't be buying a new gen console for some time.

I'd rather it be released on any console then next gen heck even NES would be fine with me (lies all lies!)

To be quite frank, I don't understand the hype and am not excited or interested in any way. Probably because I don't own or plan on owning a next-gen console any time soon. But, to each his own, after all.

ThanatosUnraveld : Well I'm not trying to be a PC elitist or anything but it's generally a fact that most Bethesda games are better on PC. With all the mods you can get get the replayability is endless. There also quicker patches for the game compared to the console.

Plus the developer console is always fun . What's more you don't even need the best of the best computer to run it. I ran Skyrim and New Vegas on close to full frames with a mediocre laptop.

YA WELL YOU KNOW WHAT..................... I cant argue with that but the prices on some of the computers are HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH, but ya I think the pc version is gonna be the best to bad I don't have a gaming pc -,,-

YES I KNOW I CANT WAIT I JUST BEAT FALLOUT 3 SO I'M SO HAPPY I WILL BUY IT THE DAY IT COMES OUT

I'll be getting it because it'll be nice to have a game that i want to play that isn't sports or racing.... Plus i understand why it's out on the newest generation only... Keep in mind that the new gen has been out for a while now.. I mean it's been out for 22 months exactly now (xbone)

It's slowly getting to the point where a lot of the triple A titles just wont be on the old gen now... It's not technically feasible.

As for the whole PC thing... Meh.. i'm a lamer and don't really like adding mods to games.. for me it just ruins what the makers of the game wanted it to be.... Maybe after i've completed it but meh.. i'm not a mod fan really.
