It has been a while since I have competed in one of these. Especially when so many have been the disc console system games, which I can't play Nice to throw my hat in one of these again.

Nice one jerry. I actually wasn't planning on maxing out the score. I had a 600k submission where I died on purpose because I was thinking it would be enough to win. But I logged on at 10pm to see you had that max score submitted with a video, so I had 2 hours to get mine in. As you can see from the time difference from my video and my submission, I failed a few times. I forgot that just hitting the reset button doesn't always reset timer.

I actually wasn't going to max out the score either, lol. I wasn't sure if it could be done legitimately. When I failed to get a lot of points from the re-spawning guys in 4-1 I thought I was done for. Then I remembered, with a good amount of lives, you could eventually max out the score with the pre-boss of 4-3 without cheating. This is likely faster than using 3 re-spawning guys at a time I believe. Congrats again rcarter2!

jerryaberry : If you get 3 of those martial arts enemies on 4-1, it is much faster than the pre boss. Using save states to practice, the most amount of birds you can shoot in one cycle (1 cycle is the cloud moving from one side of the screen to the other, and back again) is 8, which is only 3,200 points. And that is if the bird release time is perfect. Otherwise, I could average only 6-7, which is less than 3,000 points per cycle. You could jump on the 3 guys twice in the time it takes for one cycle. And jumping on all 3 in one jump gives you 3,800. So doing that twice in the time if takes for 1 cloud cycle, you are earning over twice as many points as you do in the pre boss, so you can get about 200,000 per life, as opposed to less than 100,000 from the pre-boss.
