This month's High Score competition is for 'Super Mario Land' for the Game Boy. You can play it here:

The point of this competition is to get as high of a score as you can.


VIDEO REQUIRED: You must must use the RGR Plugin's built in video recording to record the gameplay and then upload that video to the Vizzed YouTube account.

RULES: You MUST play the game using the RGR Plugin in 'Timetrial Mode' and take a screenshot of your top score from that by pressing F6. To play in 'Timetrial Mode', scroll down the page where the highscores would appear, you'll see a link that says 'Click Here to Compete for Highscore', click that. Once you've taken your screenshot, click the link near that one that says 'Click Here to Submit your Score' to submit your score.

You cannot unfairly get points or lives or use a glitch of any sort. If you find something that gives out unlimited points or lives, it will not count.


Prizes:
1st = 25,000 Viz
2nd = 10,000 Viz
3rd = 5,000 Viz

barberiant : Typically have to be made after the start of the competition. Do you have a video of your score from before May?

Davideo7 : Question as to what constitutes unfairly getting points. Lets say there is a spot that can give a pretty good amount of points. I decide to collect points and run out the clock, and keep going until I am on my last life, and then continue on with the game. In this case, it is similar to what people usually do to max the score when they find a spot where they can get a 1UP and die in an endless loop, but my case, I will NOT use any unlimited lives looping spots. Every life I collect will be gotten legitimately. Heck, I will even get to this said spot without losing a single life, so there is no argument on using some unlimited lives loop. But depending on how many points I collect, I can rack up a pretty high score. Potentially even maxing it out if I get enough extra lives (which depends on how well I do at the bonus games after each level). Will that count as getting points unfairly?
I am being very vague on my description so to avoid giving the strategy away to everyone if you decide it doesn't count as cheating. If you would like me to tell you what I found specifically, let me know, and I will be happy to PM the exact method I found.
