I posted this because yesterday, I was at work, I looked at my lunch box and I seen that I had some Gatoraid, water, and some Special K breakfast bars (one of those diet bars for women and all that), note, I didn't pack my stuff. I looked at those Special K bars and told myself "I never wanted to eat these things because those being diet bars." but then I said "screw it, I'm hungry" and I ended up eating the diet bar because I was hungry, and lunch time was hours away, and I was no where near any food stands or vending machines at the time.

This cause me to think and figure I can go ahead and post this. Have you ever at a point that you have to eat whatever you have, but anything else you like isn't available at the time?

I'm not the biggest fan of protein bars.  But, at times, we're on the go, and all we have is a protein bar to tide us over until our budget (and diet) allows more flexible options.

yeah i have  it was for i think 3 years it seams li9ke a normal day of my hollydays and im happy about being in itali 
the sun was shining i was in my room by my grandparents house and i thinkign about what i doing today
then it comes grandma talk to me that we go to one of her old friends to eating and im knowed they always eating
much thinks from france abnd i dont rly like france food  so i  have thinking what can it be
i had thinking about rly crazy thinks what it can give and how i can eat them withoute running to the toilet
or haveing a dog to feed them  so it went to 12am or 0pm i dont know so right what it is but who care
so we went to the house of her old friend and there i have to see i see somthink i never ever thinking about because it so 
slime and bah  snails a  hugh amount of snails and my first thought was omg  my second thought was
omg call the ambulance  help sos and no i dont can say somthing of that they can be sad angry or mad
so i going to sit down i dont know it feels like  2houre of watching this slime snails before i rly slow grabed one
and eat them and im really got sick but i dont want to hurt them so i keep going and i eat  i only know after the 6t snaiil 
i was going to break i has tell that i felling a bit dizzy and go for a walk for keeping a deep breath but what i rly have done
i think you all know so i realy know this time i never eating something only because of someones feeling 
or because that im hungry

Never had Special K before but I love eating Nature Valley protean bars.

I remember when I went out to Borders to just sit down a read manga for about 4 hours. During the time I was there I got hungry and looked inside my bag for food. There was a mashed blue berry muffin inside that I completely forgot about. It was still fresh and inside it's wrapping. I had forgotten to pack some food for myself. So I go outside the book store and I found a food stand and asked how much a hot dog was. It was $2.50, I felt relieved that I didn't have to eat the muffin. But when I checked my wallet I only had $2.00 in it. I was 50 cents short ! Talk about unlucky. I had no choice but to eat my mashed muffin. Things could have been worse. haha

YES! Whenever I get hungry and my wife hasn't gone food shopping yet, I panic and get my hands on whatever food we have left to eat, whether I like it or not. When I'm hungry, I will eat ANYTHING as long as its edible. I'll even eat things I know I don't like.

I remember one night, my mother in law made this goulash plate. Even though it looked pretty good, it had lima beans and spinach in it...two of the worst kinds of vegetables that I hate. The top of it was covered in beef and mashed potatoes, so I dug into it and started frantically eating it because I was so hungry. Since there were so many ingredients in it, I didn't even taste the lima beans or the spinach. I ended up happy and more importantly, full. I don't mind lima beans or spinach anymore.

I actually love Special K. I rarely get a chance to eat it though. If I'm able it's a good little snack or something for me. Usually when I have to eat something that I really don't want to eat.. it's a supper food. I'm not really picky on food but sometimes I just am not in the mood for certain kinds of foods. If it's put in front of me though I just eat it because I mean it's food.. In the past if I was placed with foods that I did not like I would get up and make my own. It was usually chicken though. Now I just eat whatever most times at least.

I've had to eat wild cranberries and moss when I was wilderness camping, seriously.

You'd think cranberries are great... well wild cranberries unprepared are very very tart. Tankfully I had brought some sugar, and had a little aluminum pan, so I heated them up with a little sugar and added some moss to it to give it a little more sustenance. It certainly wasn't very good, but I had purposefully brought less freeze-dried food than necessary so I would HAVE to find something wild to eat.

Basically, anything with a lot of mushrooms, or just mushrooms, I've always strongly disliked. I'm not sure why, but when they're in my mouth every part of me screams "GET IT OUT!!!" That and pickles, only I'll eventually eat pickles. No way with mushrooms.

IgorBird122 : Special K bars aren't really diet bars dude. Actually, they are full of sugar and not really good for you at all.

I don't usually eat things that I didn't want to eat. My parents never really made me eat things as a kid if I didn't like them. They just wanted me to try everything on my plate, but if I didn't like it I didn't have to eat it.

Now that I'm an adult I don't generally eat things that I don't like. Although I find that as I've gotten older I like some things that I didn't use to like when I was a kid.

I don't really eat things I don't like. One time I was practically trapped in my house because of a blizzard. Needless to say, I was REALLY hungry, so I had to eat a can of peas. I didn't really care what it tasted like at that point. Ironically, now I don't mind the taste of peas.

I think this is really a problem that either younger people will have or people who find themselves in precarious situations like Blizzards or camping etc... 

I mean as an adult I'm pretty in control in what I want to eat... But if I was to state something that I was forced to eat (or attempt to eat) that would be Broccoli simply because if I try to eat it, it sets of my gag reflex and I absolutely hate the smell of it as well when it's cooked it's really repugnant for me... but then again we are all different

I won't eat cabbage unless it's the only thing of easy access, it tastes bad and if I eat it 5 or less hours before I go to sleep I have an unpleasant time losing my breath randomly.

Ugh yes cat fish and salmon >.< I am not a fan at all of any kind of seafood

Yeah. When i was only eight years old my mother forced me to take a bite of a Brussels Sprout. Never again...:- 

Only ever had this problem once, when I was 6 ( I believe) my mother shoved a tomato in my mouth as I didn't want to eat it as she doesn't like wasting food. From then on, I never allowed this to happen again...

This has happened to me quite a few times, especially out camping.

When I went to a full-fledged kids camp, I had to eat some of the worst burritos of all time. A whole hall of kids shared my opinions.

Whilst camping with family and friends, I once had to eat mushrooms repeatedly. I hated them but I had no real choice since up there mushrooms grow like weeds.

I have a long lost of items which include shrimp, olives, and onions and now I love all 3 after I had to eat them.

I tried a mushroom once, not doing that again.

Once I was playing the bean boozled challenge and I happened to get a rotten egg flavored one... It was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. It's worse than the vomit one.

I've had quite a few situations like that before. For example, I was in my house and I ran downstairs for breakfast. I like to eat healthy cereal for breakfast most of the time (except Mini Wheats). I opened up my cupboard and discovered that only Mini Wheats were left in there. I really didn't want to eat them, and it was pretty much my only option. Since I was so hungry, I ate them anyway.

I like the taste of the frosting on Mini Wheats, but the texture and the taste of the Mini Wheats themselves is something I've never liked.

Absolutely. I have too many here to list though. I'm a really picky eater though, so don't be surprised...
