So, I was scrolling through my news feed on Facebook, and I found THIS! 

This is just wrong. I mean, the floors were cleaned, but the seats weren't? " Get off the plane and fly tomorrow, or sit in the puke and fly; you're choice " ( that was paraphrased ) ? That's just wrong.

Granted, the family was given blankets to put on their seats, and bags to put their bags in, along with being offered travel miles and $150 travel vouchers each, but still! If this were me, I would have been raising all kinds of hell up in there if they did that to me. I would have been like... " Nope, I want a first class seat today, and I want a free round trip travel voucher to anywhere in the states on a date of my choosing. " 

So, what do you think of this, and if this had happen to you, what would your reaction have been?

If it was me, I wouldn't go on that airline and I would of found another airline to depart from the airport. If someone get's sick on the airplane, it is the cleaner's responsibility to clean every bit of waste the person has produced, including both the seat that person was sitting in, the seat in front of them, and all across the floor around the passenger.

Well, I don't like to fly in an airplane anyways, not just because of that, but I really don't like the whole out of control security at airports, and flying isn't really my thing either.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I would immediately demand a refund and I would definitely switch to a different airline. I would also file a complaint. Txgansta: They cleaned the floor, but refused to clean the seat. And when they were asked if they could do something about the seat, the airline said sit in the puke, or get the heck off our plane pretty much. That is what people have a problem with here.

I actually caught this article myself, and have had some time to think about it.

It was probably some minor oversight or issue with one employee who didn't properly do their job, and unfortunately there was no quick or easy solution since the flight was booked. In the limited time left to correct the problem, I ask you to put yourself in the flight crew's shoes: What do you do in the short run? 

In the long run, of course the airline should make amends just as they would anyone who is bumped from a flight, but I think any more demands are frivolous.


As an aside- We have people who work for the FDA who have Mysophobia (The fear of germs)?  I'd figure an FDA official should be used to run-ins with germy things.

Well I have never been on a plane before but honestly if you needed to be somewhere and you didn't have time to pick another airline then you would just have to suffer through it. If I wasn't going somewhere where I had to be somewhere at a certain time I probably would throw a fit and get a refund and do what everyone else here is suggesting. I mean it's pretty disgusting.. I still call BS. It doesn't take but 2 minutes for a flight attendant to do a little scrubbing. The seats were clean-ish. The people were not violently thrown into those seats. They were told that they could board a different flight or sit in the clean-ish seats. They chose. And were comp'd.
