For me it depends on how angry I am on that day. most of the time I might swear so it vizzed allows swearing fine that does not hurt people, but I do know people who try to hurt people by using  some words so I guess that swearing depends on the person. For flaming I will not do it so if vizzed allow it and people do it to me it might make me mad then I just swear at them or just leave so it will not stop me to coming to vizzed.

Naw, I don't really enjoy flaming or swearing.  It destroys relationships, relationships I happen to enjoy.  So I really, really don't want to do it.

First off, no I wouldn't flame or swear because it is very disrespectful. And another thing, why would you? For what possible reason could anyone have to swear. I see no practical reason for it. Also to my understanding, this "flaming"is means of insulting people right? I don't really know. Personally, I am on a quest to better myself and I always thought it would be the same for everyone. The only use swearing and flaming serve is to a troll, which we have no place for on Vizzed.  So yeah, out of respect for others and my own dignity, no, I would not lower myself to flaming and swearing on the #1 greatest website ever made.

When I swear usually its to keep the mood chill and non serious which is why I swear when joking around and hanging out with friends. If Vizzed allowed it I'm not sure. I might say a swear on occasion if the time ever called for it but mainly for humor because that's just how I talk around friends. Flaming however no that's pretty dumb to do.

I wouldn't swear any more than I do now. I occasionally say words like damn or hell or something like that, and that's all I would do even if swear words were allowed. I really don't think it's necessary and I think people that do it excessively make themselves look like idiots.

I would probably swear but I wouldn't flame. I don't mind people swearing but maybe it is because I grew up with people swearing all the time so it doesn't have much impact on me than others.

Flaming? No, there are more effective and harsh ways to insult someone.

I would, however, swear albeit sparingly. When swears are thrown around liberally or randomly, they lose their meaning. One has to place swears in just the right spot and at the right time. If used correctly, it could be a potent sentence enhancer.

Dark sword Z : In real life, I usually most of the time don't flame or swear, so I don't do it online either just because I don't like the idea of doing those two things. If I were to do those things, it would be unintentionally. I mean sometimes someone really pisses me off and I think about doing it, but I never act upon it just like sometimes I think about doing drugs like cigarettes or drinking beer, but I do not act upon those either. And I am glad I don't act upon those things because at the end of the day I feel good about myself and don't regret the bad things I could of done to myself as I am happy I do not smoke, chew, and drink beer because I know that it has bad long-lasting effects that a person feels on a day-to-day basis of pain they get from those specific things.

Swearing is something I do mostly when I am in a competitive mood and flaming I frown upon but only time I do that is during competition when I am trying to psych out the opponent like "I shall bury you" or "I'm good, I'm bad, and you're ugly."

I barely swear. And when I do it's usually when quoting, or making a joke. And I would never flame someone either. I'm not THAT rude. There's a fine line between joking, and just being awful.

There's two things wrong with this conversation/question/thread/whatever

Firstly and most obviously.. If you allowed swearing.. It wouldn't be family friendly.. It'd be a bunch of teens trying to show off

I mean anyone who has spoke to me on skype knows that I swear quite often. Because the area of the United Kingdom I've grown up with swears a lot. It's in my culture.. I mean we use swears as everyday words, and 99% of the time they are used it's non-offensive to the receiver of said swear...

Obviously in America profanity is more looked down upon. Maybe due to the stronger religious culture. Personally I don't think allowing swearing will change anything really. Except making more confusion about if people are being mean/flaming,,,

As for flaming. Why would it even be considered?.. I mean no offence to some people on this site. But I've been reported for simple things such as not lying to a person whose over reacting and voicing a basic opinion that I'm entitled too. A lot of people on this site aren't mature enough yet and will take the words people say to heart.. I'm all for helping people out and being honest and blunt with them. But I'm not for bullying people who can't really defend themselves...

Damn Straight! People take swearing WAAY too seriously, in my opinion, especially parents. It seems that almost every parent in the world wants their kid(s) to grow up without knowing / saying a single swear word. What?! That's impossible AND ignorant. No matter how hard you try your kids will know every single swear word once they grow up. It's inevitable and there's nothing "wrong" with that. The only "wrong" thing with that, is if they were to repeat the swear word over and over out of spite and out of context. There's no need for all that and it's mostly the young kids and teens who do that the most because it's new to them. But once they mature, they'll know how to keep those swears in context and say them only at the appropriate times and around the appropriate people ( like what Boxia said ). I usually swear a lot only when I'm with family / friends because they know me and understand how I talk ( most of them swear too, so there is an understanding within the group ), but when I'm on the job or posting in a family-friendly message board I keep it casual.

Now flaming is completely unnecessary. I can't think of a just situation where somebody would flame somebody else for a good reason ( unless they asked for it, like a roast or something ). It seems like a ploy for attention to me because flaming is usually persuaded by some sort of personal matter but the flamer wants to make it public so that everyone can see how unjust they think this person is being. You can deal with that on your own time, in your own personal area but there's no need to go public with all that by posting a thread about how awful you think somebody has become based on your unfounded personal beliefs.

If swearing is allowed, and if I would swear, the answer is... Yes!!

Trust me, anything that comes out of my mouth can be controversial, and I do say a swear word at least once every hour irl. A lot of people does like to show on their expression and some might just include swearing.

As for flaming, that will still be a big fat no, the reason why is that flaming is always bad, no matter on how you look at it. Everyone has experienced with flaming and it's bad.

So, all and all, swearing yes, flaming no.
