This will be a big introduction to the things I love, like, and know. From the consoles I most adore, and why, to the video games I have played my entire life. On my newbie introduction, located here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=85218, I stated who I was, the basics of my video games, and why I was here. This is more or less an extensive format of such. A little bit of everything will be sprinkled in here. Favorite video games, characters, games I own etc. Before I begin, however, I would like to state a few rules. None of these go against the forum or site rules, just some rules to let you know what you can post here, so we can follow the forum, and site rules a little more clearly. In other words, I get a little random, which makes it prone to spamming easily.

Rules

To make things clear you cannot just override the forum or site rules just because I have added rules. There more or less guidelines to posting here- So Be good about this, and don't yell at me for doing so I just want to keep this thread clean.

I will be linking to things through out the post into this first post. This will include individual game series I wish to talk about. Character information, including fan made characters, other wondrous things about the games, and role playing information. Of coarse this is a lot of information to take in, and are more then welcome to talk about the current game, or a recent game I've been talking about through this thread. If it isn't recent, take it to PM. This also accounts to questions, and role-play information. There is no Role-play threads here as far as I can find, so understand it will be 1x1 through PM or on another website we both go to. There will be no role-playing here.

I provide information about Fan Characters that I created for fanfiction, role-play, or just boredom. These characters are based off of the series that they are showcased in, and are a way to show you who I am. This doesn't mean you can post about your characters or post information about you in here. You may comment or critique them though. 

I will sometimes post information on the game I'm playing, like if it's a Nuzlocke I will post updated information plus screenshots of the game where you can suggest what I name my pokemon or where I go, and what I do. Or if it's a different game I'm updating with you can suggest what I do, names of things and what ever else is available. I will let you know what is available.

Now that you know what's going to be here I will set you up with the Table of contents and links to this thread. If it's an outside link I will let you know where it leads. As I do this I ask that you provide links let me know where they lead if you post them. Thank you!

LunarDarkness2 : More allowed than your response! Backseat modding isn't the best course of action, would you mind PMing the mods of the forum instead next time? If you're right, it can be helpful, but if you're wrong (and the thread is fine, like this time) then it can really be degrading to the thread. How I got this game


I got this game some time ago as the second game I owned on the Gamecube. At the time, Sonic the Hedgehog was one of my favorite fandoms due to how much Tails had influenced me in past video games. I got it not knowing anything about the individual game itself, nor anything about the Dreamcast version, or the existence of the Dreamcast. Of coarse since I was young, my parent bought it for me when I picked it out.





Little did I know that I was going to spend hours on this video game... well I did know, but I didn't expect it to be on the chaos. I even owned Sonic Advanced, so I was able to have that sacred Silver and Gold chao... however since mine and my sisters memory cards got fried, and there is no reset for the chao data in Sonic advanced.... I'm unable to have those anymore.





Even my family stole my game to play it. My cousin, me, and my sister would take turns on our own files, trying to see who got to the end of the game first, or who had the best chao. Of coarse, my older sister was the one to beat the game first, and after that she told me she wouldn't help me with Final Hazard.





Favorite Character


Although I can go on and on about Miles Prower, A.K.A. Tails, I'm specifically putting this part to my favorite playable, or memorable character of the video game. As much as I love Tails, as he is my favorite character of the Sonic franchise, I will have to go with Shadow the hedgehog with this one. 





Why? Although Tails was a playable character, he was mostly fun to control in the chao garden, rather his individual levels. I still loved playing in his levels, except for the driving one, but it wasn't as fun exploring the level as it is in the older games.





I could explore the level more with Shadow, and feel more freedom among it, and a lot of his stages are really fun and cool looking. Particularly the jungle and sky rail levels. (excuse my laziness, I don't want to go turn on the game just for the names feel free to fill me in on this) I particularly love the cool set he is in all the time. His emotions and reactions bring out his character and feel very Sonic like. I absolutely love the Japanese voice actor, and I also enjoy the English voice actor as well. I remember playing his levels till I got the A rank, but then realizing how stupid it was cause I would never complete the game.





Defeat/Complete the game!


I defeated the game, and before you turn away, I won't spoil it for you. Even though I've never played the multi-player a whole lot, at least with friends, due to lack of friends, but I played through the whole game. I loved the difficulty near the end, as to challenge the player to actually go back to the past levels cause you missed that one important item. I mostly beat this game because it was easy enough for me to get through. It was at my difficulty range, and was great for a gamer who has a bad time playing video games. I don't get to beat many of the games I play. I generally set them down, restart completely, and hope to get to the end due to my lack in skill. So this game made me feel like a champ!





Completing the game however? NOPE. As much as I like going through the levels over and over to find new secrets that I couldn't before... Their were levels that weren't fun for me to explore as much as just get to the end so I can get to the next one, let alone the pain staking irritation of breeding chaos till you get the perfect one. If I completed the game, I'd no longer want to play it.





Do you still Play it?


Yep. I play it now and then, mostly for the chaos though, and getting to play as Tails. I usually play this game back through when I have forgotten where all the secrets are. It is completely re-playable, and I think anybody who likes sonic and enjoys the game would agree.

Nuzlockes Guidelines
1. Catch only 1 pokemon per area The first pokemon I see in the area is the pokemon I catch, and the only one I can have in that specific area. If I faint the pokemon I am not allowed to have a pokemon from that area.
 a. Double Clause If I run into a pokemon I already own. I may capture the next pokemon I see after it that I don't own.

2. Fainted = Dead If one of my pokemon faints at anytime in the game, that pokemon is dead, and I must release the pokemon. I'm not allowed to get another pokemon from the area, but since I no longer own the pokemon I'm allowed to capture the pokemon again in another area if I run into it first.

3. Gotta name them All All pokemon I own must have a nickname. This creates a sentimental attachment to the pokemon.

4. No Trading I am not allowed to trade the pokemon I own for other pokemon at all.

5. No items in battle Except for Gym Leader battles, I am not allowed to use items during battle.

Name Pokemon for me
You can give me name suggestions for future pokemon that I will catch, and if I take your suggestion, I will preview your post on the youtube video unless you say otherwise. Note that I want you to explain why you want this name and if you want it with a specific pokemon if I catch that pokemon. 

NOTE I might not get to upload these videos to youtube depending on when I get them all edited. So I cannot promise you that it will be up, but everything will be pre-recorded, and edited, when the first vid comes up.

So today I turned on my GameCube this morning... and I found out that it is dying. D: The worst thing that could happen to me is one of my favorite systems dying! Well I'm not entirely sure if it's dying or not as I'm slightly confused on why- I take good care of everything I own so I have no idea why it would do this. It lasted a long time so far, and the N64 is still trucking along quite fine. :/

Well anyway, it has to do with the reading disk function of the machine. I put the disk in, turn it on, and you can't even hear it try to turn. Sometimes it will start, but stop right after the logo appears, and on rare occasions it will actually play. At first I thought it was the disk and so I cleaned out the system, checked the disk, and... no scratches... soooooo. hm... try another disk. Nope... It has to be the system.

Is this a common problem? Well I just wanted to rant about how I restarted the thing over 20 times just so I could play one of my favorite GameCube games... no big deal. I'm not asking for help exactly so it's not really anything that is in the wrong spot. I just wanted to cry and rant about it all.

If only the system was more appreciated... could be blinded by nostalgia but still. Its still working so I won't completely fall apart till it actually dies.

What is Shadow the Hedgehog
Shadow the hedgehog is a video game in the sonic franchise that supposedly happens right after Sonic adventure 2. It was met with a lot of hate, and is hated badly today by a lot of different people. It was why I was recommended to stay away from the game. Shadow the hedgehog is about Shadow not remembering anything, but then being encountered by a shadowy alien creature to go find the seven chaos emeralds for him. You would then get the choice to follow the good guys and save the humans from the aliens, go neutral and try and figure out what happened to shadow, or be evil and help the aliens take over the world.

How did I get this game
Christmas, moving on...

Okay I'll tell you part of the story. I went to the game store with the thought of getting the game for my birthday witch isn't to far from Christmas. Now, I'm not one for shooting games, but mostly the fps ones so I was very open minded about the game. I looked at the shelf and spotted another game that had just came out that I wanted. Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.

After pondering about the two games I was about to get Shadow the Hedgehog anyway, but then, the game manager came up and specifically told me NOT to get the game. I frowned and asked why- He said cause I wouldn't like it, that it was to "violent" "dark" and some other things that I won't mention. Normally that would make people want to by the game, and I usually ignore people like that, and I wanted the game, but got Pokémon XD instead. Why? Because I figured I would get shadow the hedgehog at a later date.

Then the gaming god blessed me with both games as he gave me shadow the hedgehog from somebody who wasn't with me when I got Pokémon! I was HAPPY. And I still love the game today.

It's a bad game why would you like such a thing Sega is a....
I know Sega is weird from time to time, and it's not there fault. They are trying to be unique and trying to come out with fun new things rather then rinsing and repeating. They want to have fun and give products to there fans, as well as not let there games die.

Shadow the hedgehog is awesome because I had FUN with it, and that's all that matters. Yes, it's got BAD acting- that's what sonic is. Really hilariously B movie acting. YES it was WAY to dark and edgy. They wanted to show the world from Shadow's view. Normally it's from sonic, which is bright and colorful. The guns were there as a trying something new.

I loved the game for it's character, its graphics, music, and comedy that it brought to the table. It's game play wasn't the best, but I did enjoy how the game played. And don't forget that FMV. Lord was it beautiful. I enjoyed the story and the time I spent with friends. The hidden items in the level and the difference it had to other sonic games. MOST of all the multi-player... pfft.

I didn't like the camera and the homing attack was kinda useless from time to time, and the bosses from time to time wasn't fun. The annoying NPC's which is probably how shadow feels whenever he's around them anyway, and the difficult levels that don't make since (cough* Hero's line), oh and the bosses weren't all that fun, but I've never been a fan of bosses.

Favorite Character
Oh deer.... well since the only playable character is shadow, I can't go by playable character... Tails is barely in the story at all. He's in one level I think... OH WAIT Espio.... nope he's only in one level :/ what do I say about this. I suppose I could tell you that I love the orange android shadow in the multi-player. There really is no competition though. Miles Prower will always be my favorite.

I do have a favorite level though~ It's the computer one with all the trip-y colors. It's hard, and there's no depth perception but hell is it fun to look at.

Do I still play it
Yeah. Just the other day in fact... which is what brought me to the fandom of the week. I still play it all the time, and find new things to do all the time. There is tons to do in the game despite how linear the individual levels usually are. It's quite fun for me. And that's what makes a game- if it's fun. If you find it fun then you play it. If you don't find it fun then don't play it, but not everyone hates the game.

NUMBER 5 || Bob from Animal Crossings

Bob was one of my first neighbors when getting Animal Crossings for the GameCube, and was a neighbor for a lot of people who played this game. He was the most common to get practically, BUT, he's my favorite. Why? Because he's just so relate-able. All the animals in your village are lazy, but most of them won't come to terms with it. HE does. Oh did I mention this kitty was male? He always looked female to me. I just love his style, his admittance to laziness, and he does things that I would do. Such as forget my own name... I do that... Oh plus he's a cat and I like cats.

Star fox wasn't introduced to me till SSB, but still, ever since I lied my eyes on this character, I was going to so find his games and play them. I never did get to play the originals. A little bit of star fox 64... but I finally got my hands on Starfox Adventures. Now most of you will go That's the worst starfox game EVER. But you know what. Screw your opinions, I love the game, and I love the characters. He has always given me a laugh, and entered me into a new genre of gaming I don't mind playing 3rd person shooter... but only starfox... most 3rd person shooters suck.

NUMBER 3 || Stiltzkin from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Stiltzkin isn't all that human when it comes down to it. He really is an old fashioned moogle. But none the less, he's more human then any other "animal" in FFCC. You first meet this guy with a bunch of Lilties and he offers to give you a moogle partner named Mog, and teach you about the world and fighting. He's also seen a lot during your journey, and he's quite interesting. I find him a tad bit humorous and I always enjoyed his personality. He's way better then Mog... I mean that lazy..... well you get the picture if you've played the game.

NUMBER 2 || Tenebrae from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Tenebrae, or Tenebee if you will, isn't exactly an animal... but I'm stretching this just for the sake of the list. I mean, he may be a non animal but he isn't human, and sure acts like one. A snoby, stick in the mud, Tenebrae. Tenebrae is actually a Centurion, not the roman kind, the kind that control the elements of the world. He takes an animal like form, but can take the form of anything. (kinda like ditto hm.. Maybe ditto should be on the list.) His true form however is that seen above, and he is often mistaken for a dog, or a monster in the game. I like him for his snobby attitude and just how much anybody could love this guy. He makes quite well done quotes, and is along with you for most of the game.

Tails was my childhood hero, my go to when I wanted an adventure. Sure Sonic was cool.... but he couldn't fly, and it was hard to explore stages with sonic. I wanted to enjoy myself and have fun like a child. And that's who Tails is! Tails is one of my favorite characters of all time for what he did for me, and when he got a personality. Even better. He was a smart childish fox who liked to follow sonic around. Oh tails. How we all love you.
