I've got to be honest, I am so happy that this forum exsists. It's a place where I can freely express my opinions about GOD and not get 1000 dislikes for it, or have to fight with someone tooth and nail about it. To be honest, I'm practically plumb wore out from being in the debate room! All I can say is thank GOD for this little spot that I can call home. I know that this might not even seem like a real thread, but I just wanted to say this and I could not find a better place to post it!

Really? *makes sure he's in the Christian Conservatives forum* Here??

Funny, I usually avoid this forum like the plague because I can't post here without being pestered endlessly. It feels like more people post here to question and refute Christianity and debate than to discuss Christian topics respectfully. At least it's better than most Christian forums though.

And I hate two things on forums: debates and disrespect from people that think they know more than you because they are...well...them. Those two things plagued my threads here, so I headed for light hearted topics in the other forums. Again though, that's just me.

Debates prove nothing, and are entirely contradictory to many Christian concepts in my personal opinion (no offense to anyone that has them), and the Bible calls "know it all syndrome" foolishness.

Maybe I'm too uptight about things like that. I don't know. But hey, you and many others seem to feel that this is a good forum for Christian talk, and appear to have positive experiences here, and I'm glad that you find some solace here. Heaven knows we need more things like that online, instead of all the filth and nonsense we normally find on it.

Welcome home then, my friend. Also this makes perfect sense as a thread I'd say. Forums are here to talk about things after all.

Eirinn : Well, I have had a little trouble here occasionally, but most of the active threads right now are pretty calm. And I will tell, it has been quite tempting to just leave the debates and heavy topics alone, and just have fun with the light stuff. But in all honesty, I just can't. When I see heavy topics, I feel that I should be putting in a word or two. What would happen if no Christian spoke out about their beliefs. I'm no pastor or missionary, but perhaps this is still a way that I can serve my king. And everything seems quiet now, feels like a great place to hang out after quite a bit of debating.

Aye, when we see someone who wants to hear truth we should tell them. But arguing is all that seems to result most of the time online, and that doesn't bring anyone to Jesus, rather it chases them away.

I think people get extra nasty because they feel they have nothing to lose online. I suppose they fail to realize that God sees still and they will face their decisions eventually. But then I suppose if they believed that, they wouldn't try to debate against Christianity in the first place. Sadly though I see believers get as riled as they do.

In the end I guess my personal feelings on the matter are that our actions represent Christ more than our words, and being nice and polite is a greater and more influential witness than arguing or philosophies and forced Bible talk. That's just my take on witnessing though, and how I live life online and off.

Again, not trying be rude. I hope you know me better than to think that. lol Also we all need a safe place where we can just relax, you know? Maybe this is your place for that.

Eirinn : Yeah, I can be fiery at times, but not in a hateful manner. I just am really stern and passionate on various issues. I am trying to do better, because I do see that I am representing CHRIST here. And I want it to be like, wow that Christian is a pretty cool guy, rather than oh rats, here comes that Christian again.
