So, Valentine's Day is coming up, and I'm sure some of you have that special someone that you spend your time with. (I don't anymore. XD) Even though others may not have anyone with them at the moment, it can still be a fun and enjoyable time for everyone. So, I would like to know. Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? And if so, how? I, for one, don't celebrate it that much unless I am taken by that special someone at the time. However, I do still eat cupcakes and other special foods even if I'm single.

I spend my Valentines day as any other just trying to ignore the persons who try to make
me celebrate it buying chocolate and other stuff like that, but I really didn't have interest in that

I don't celebrate valentines day, I never really had a reason to and plus I'm allergic to chocolate, so have the day would already be ruined, I think I might have gone out with friends once or twice in the past but that's about it.

I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. If I had a "special someone" I would, but since I don't... Yeah.

I don't like how people without a boyfriend or girlfriend say they hate it and don't celebrate it because of that .

I use Valentine's Day to express my love towards my friends and family. They're important, too, and I love them more than anything in the universe! Unfortunately, people don't associate "friends" and "family" with the word "love" a lot, especially on Valentine's Day, and I find it kind of weird... and upsetting :L.

I'm wearing red today, and I'm going with my dad and sister to eat burgers later. I'm also sending my mom an e-mail later to remind her of the fact she already knows - that I love her! - since she traveled for a bit .

I'm not confused by people who don't celebrate it, they have the right not to, but I am a little astonished by those who "hate" it because they don't have that "special" someone. 

Whatever happened to friends and family? Lol.

I, for one, have several special people in my life, and if I have an excuse to remind with a little extra things like chocolate or a rose just how much I adore them, then why not?

I am not going to let the absence of a person to "date" in my life stop me from remembering the other important things I have and am able to cherish . 

I get Valentine's Day is aimed for "that" kind of love, which is cute, but everyone celebrates every holiday differently, so why not? I can still use the word "love" in the way my family and I celebrate it ^^!

I just do what I always do- avoid going out on Valentine's Day. It's not because I'm anti-social person, but its more of because I am so sick of people asking "Do you have a date for Valentine" or whateverthecrapitis.

I don't, but I hope I'll start to do that again. When I was in elementary school, I always gave my classmates valentines, but that was it. Ever since then, I haven't done anything to celebrate it (besides eating candy ) . Tonight my family is celebrating it by having a family movie night!

I hang out with my mother. We may watch a movie, or play a board game. And later that evening I could play MMO's on my computer, while silently weeping on the inside because single lyfe.

Not really because I'm the definition of forever alone. 

No, not really. I don't celebrate V-day because to my, I don't have a love in my life and I just see this day as just a regular day, just like the other 365 days in the entire year.

Yes I do!(Or rather did) but not conventionally.

My last relationship didn't last til Valentine's, and that's fine. As it happens, my friend group (about 25 people) had its first big gathering on Valentine's Day so it's become our anniversary of sorts. We had a nice little party, nobody felt lonely or sulked. I would strongly recommend it!

If I'm single (aka now) I don't celebrate it.
If I have a special someone I might if they are around, but it isn't that big of a deal to me.
Instead I rather show the special someone in my life that I care all year round, surprising them with little gifts when they least expect it, making sure to pay attention to the things they like so that out of the blue I can give them something they really want, just because I love them

I've never had a date at valentine's day. I have gotten with a group of single guys/girls and hung at a pizza parlor and then at a college lounge playing card games and pool and watching movies. I have a lot of fun with that.
There's certainly no, or at least a lot less, pressure that a one-on-one. 

I never do. I mean I don't hate valentines day, I just treat the day like any normal day either play games, watch anime, movies and other things as well. I don't do anything special because I don't have a reason too. Plus I forget every year. '-'

I don't. I don't really get the hype about it... I'd rather have a couple celebration during our birthdays or anniversaries, not during the time when "everyone" seems like they're celebrating with their partners. A simple dinner or hanging out will do. Flowers and chocolates? Eh....... buy us a game that we can play together for the whole day instead, I'd be happier.

LunarDarkness2 : I show my love toward my family and friends during Valentine's. Even though I don't have a girlfriend, I still smile this day . What do you mean by 'celebrate'? Usually this day,  I just express my love toward my family and friends, that's all. Other than that, it's a normal day to me.

I do, but probably not in the way most expect. I celebrate the love between me and my family and friends. I'm single and honestly don't care about having a relationship, but the love I have with family/friends is a precious thing and deserves celebration. 

Usually don't give chocolates or anything like that, though (if I have the money) I'll get my parents and sister a little something physical. Usually something small like a candle or something like that that they LIKE, given to them after we eat dinner together (which is rare in our family thanks to schedules).

With my friends, we hang out online, maybe watch a horror game/movie together on youtube or Netflix, and just generally enjoy each others' company . That's the celebration. Nothing fancy, but hey, it works.

Eh, I am not really into Valentine's Day, so I won't really celebrate it. However, it doesn't stop me from going up to people online and saying either "Happy Valentine's Day~" or "Happy Single's Awareness Day!" This year, I did write a story with a depressing ending and the day before, I went to the school coffee house and basically celebrated the holiday by eating and reading stories there. Besides those things, all I have done this year is the same as other years: stay home, do normal hobbies, sleep, etc.

Well, for one, I'm single too. But usually I would have fun with a group of friends (Codan, Angel, etc.) and we would be idiots for the whole day! I remember one time, we had ate a lot of food, and then we got "drunk" off of food. XD We basically acted like more idiots and less ourselves, and we did really stupid things. (Running into walls, scaring each other, etc.)
