   At this point, it seems very unlikely that it will happen. The remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire do add things that Emerald had, like the contests, but do leave out the more unique aspects that I think made Emerald so much better. But being as up until this point, a remake of the 3rd game for a Pokémon generation has not been remade yet, I doubt we'll see it this time.
   Which is a shame, because personally, I refuse to buy this one when the thing that took up a majority of my play time through Emerald, the Battle Frontier, is completely missing. That, and the clash between the two teams is much better. But anyways, the Frontier is apparently referenced, which I'm guessing is hinting at DLC (free, hopefully) adding the Frontier into the game.

It would be nice if  an Emerald remake was made, I just got Alpha Sapphire three hours ago. I don't think that there will be a remake of Emerald for the 3DS though. A little bit late for that if they do decide on a remake, bad timing Nintendo... B-Bad t-timing... Be nice if it happened.

No I really don't think so, I think there will be a lot of side games after this (Maybe another mystery dungeon or pokemon snap 2) and then onto the next gen games.

Personally I think the battle frontier will be a DLC download, they HAVE the battle frontier music, just didn't put the battle frontier in the game for some reason, plus rayquaza is in this game so there will possibly be no Delta emerald or whatever you want to call it

At this point I really don't think they'll do that. I think the last mainstream gen 6 pokemon game will be either X and Y 2 or Pokemon Z (can't be sure which way they'll go with that)

I highly doubt that a remake of Emerald being released in the near future, I think that they might release another remake of Pokemon Red / Blue for Pokemon's 20th anniversary in early 2016, but then after that, I think Nintendo / Game Freak will start on Generation VII

If Nintendo doesn't release a 20th anniversary remake in 2016 (they will more likely do one for the 25th anniversary in 2021), then it maybe possible to see one, but still more likely not, I think they might make Pokemon Z because X / Y was missing a lot of things or be like Gen V and have X2 / Y2, not sure on what they got planned.

For Delta Emerald, I don't think it will happen, but it is a slim possibility.

Do a remake for Yellow, a remake for Crystal, a remake for Emrerald, which would lead up to a Gen 4 remake after a few more years. Maybe even make one giant special game with all 3 in one.

I think there might be another remake before Gen 7 comes along, either of one of the first 3 gens, or of Gen 4. Most people think the remakes are based on the generation, but they are actually based on the system.

With the way Nintendo is cranking out new systems every year now, I think fall of 2016 should be far away enough to see a brand new system, and therefore a remake.

So yeah, I guess you're right, if Gen 6 follows the Gen 1, 2, 4 model, then Gen 7 would be at the end of 2016, and if it followed the Gen 5 model, then Gen 7 would be this year. I would prefer though if they make 2 remakes this Gen, specifically emerald as some sort of bonus or redo the first 2.
