Hey guys. Green here with another school thread. School never leaves us alone. Everytime, BUT EVERYTIME, every weekend and breaks too, they give us a pile of homeworks. Seriously, give us a break. Well, that's why we had an October break. We have a December break (two weeks long), February break (one week long), April break (two weeks long) and later Summer. Last month, last day before the breaks, we asked our english teacher if we had any homework. She replied:"No because vacation is a period which we rest." And she is definitely right about that.  After the vacation... we asked our English Teacher if she corrected our exams. She replied:"No, rested during this vacation." She's also right about that. School should stop giving us homework during vacation. I had enough!!! World War 7!! This is it, us, student soldiers are going to break you down no matter what obstacles we have to face! Does this happen to you guys when they give you lots of homework even during vacation? School is ruining our life. No one said life was fair.

I got a lot of homework during vacation time at least once in elementary school. (Grades Kindergarten-5th) Since then, that hasn't happened. I usually get 1-2 assignments to do during vacation, if any. And they're always small ones.

Your last line covered everything.  No one said life is fair.  So why are you complaining?  If you just sit there and everything goes away after two weeks, how are you going to remember what you learned?  You won't use it unless they assign homework to you.

Also, do you think the real world just gives you a break?  You won't get two weeks with nothing to do the rest of your life.  You should accept and attack homework.  Get it all done the first day of vacation and then you have two weeks to hang out and do what you want to do.  You know what to expect so get the work done, get it out of the way, and enjoy the rest of the time you have.

Yes I have a lot of homework every weekend
there like 90 question per homework it's totally annoying
specially with teachers like I have

Exactly. Much like what warmaker said, instead of complaining, just accept homework and deal with it. It's normal for me to get lots of homework, as well as it is normal for me to have not so much homework. The only time I complain about homework is if I have to deal with a lesson I do not understand much about. Otherwise, I attack it and do at least decent on it, whether it is large or small.

Also, on a side note, school isn't ruining my life. If anything, I've gotten as much joy in school as I have at home and online. Homework isn't even enough for me to say school is "ruining" my life.

You are only 12, so the distant future is not likely going to be something you are aware of in terms of what it will be like. But if you are complaining this much now, just wait until after you graduate high school. So many think it is going to be so great being independent after they graduate high school or even college. That is when you actually have less control of your life. Less freedom. Responsibility has to kick in to high gear, or you are screwed. You will be wishing you had a workload like what you have now.

I don't know why but we've never really had assignments to do for long vacations. As what you've said, rest time is for rest. But considering your circumstances, complaining won't really do anything. You just have to do the assignments instead during your first days of vacation (or just the first day and assign that whole day as 'assignment day') and move on as if nothing happened. The faster you get rid of the problem (the assignments), the more fun and relaxed your vacation would be. So don't procrastinate.

It seems like you dont want to do your homework but you do it anyway. Just keep doing your best you only have a few more years left before you graduate. Once you get into college (if you want to) it will be more fun because you'll be able to do what you want to in your spare time.

Remember we'll always need trashmen, cashiers, and delivery men. If you dont do your work you'll most likely end up doing one of those jobs.
