hello all, i have a BURNING question for today. (sarcasm ftw!!)
what is your favorite album from any band? i know, a hard choice, but make your pic.
my favorite album from any band is a tie between save infinity on high, and from under the cork tree, both by fall out boy. here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SeOdlpdu_c

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbLdfyG6u8xFCf06ne-uwBCRrQbhzhJ17

here are the rules: no flaming, no dissing anyone's opinions. have fun!

This is a tough question to me. If I had to choose, it would have to be the album called Until We Have Faces by RED.

Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRMUnieXQsY

Interesting as in good or bad? RED is a very popular band especially for Christians. I am not Christian though.

noahs_brother : My favorite album from a band called Anthem Lights and the album is called "Escape".
Here is the link to the album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH4CYBOWrYo
At the end of the album it goes into a random instrumental that I'm not sure if it is a part of their album, but that instrumental is pretty good too.

noahs_brother : My favorites from the "Escape" Album are Top of the World, Just Fall, and Run Away. When you have free time, you should give the album a listen. They are a great band that is barely recognized by people.

Favorite album from a band? Hmmmmm... I thoroughly enjoy a few different bands, so this may be tough.

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

This is their debut album, and it still remains their best. They've had a few duds since then, namely Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns, but they've also had a few great albums. If you enjoyed that, I'd suggest listening to Living Things and The Hunting Party. Meteora is pretty good too; essentially Hybrid Theory, but worse =P

Sick Puppies - Dressed Up As Life

Another debut album, and another absolutely terrific album. Shim Moore's such a talented musician and vocalist. Damn shame they kicked him out of his own band

In Flames - A Sense of Purpose

One of In Flames' latest albums. I can't really describe it other than heavy and terrific

Slipknot - .5 The Gray Chapter

Their latest album. It combines the sheer brutality of Iowa with the melodic tunes of Vol. 3, making way for their best album. They definitely don't sugarcoat their feelings over the loss of Paul Gray, founding member and bassist, which gives it a very real feeling (as opposed to, say, Nickelback's overproduced sound)

Killswitch Engage - Disarm the Descent

Jesse Leach's return to KsE is very much so emotionally charged, and featuring some of the best songwriting in their history. You can tell that he and the other members' sounds have matured between Alive or Just Breathing, the last album Leach did with KsE before leaving, and this one. I love Alive or Just Breathing, but it's very raw and graceless.

Alice in Chains - Dirt

I don't even need to describe this one. Simply fantastic.

I first thought that this would be easy for me

Billy Talent - Billy Talent II http://youtu.be/ErX7CTqczL0
Not only was it my first album I owned, I also love Billy Talents sound in it. So for a long time it has been my favorite. But now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I have other albums that I would find to be am favorite if it wasn't for the fact that Billy Talent was my favorite band.

But really the only one that really comes to mind is Bullet for My Valentine - Temper Temper http://youtu.be/RqF0KBJt4_4
I am really a big fan also of Bullet for My Valentine (Fun Fact: I'm getting my hair to be cut like the lead singers newest haircut)

One more point. It's a lot harder for me I feel because I am a musician myself. I guess really the album's I find to be my favorite are the ones that sound like music I'd want to be playing myself.

Maybe that's just me maybe it's not.

I can't settle on one artist that tops them all, so here are my favourite albums from some bands (even choosing them was hard!!).

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album

An interesting album with a variety of moods. 4 is a great opener to the album and Logan Rock Witch closes it well. My two favourite songs from it are Peek 824545201 and Carn Marth. If you want to try something a little different, this is probably the best place to start. At least in my opinion.

The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole

A slightly more well know album, well at least in the UK. Full of big beat breaks, enjoyable rhythms and some psychedelic phases.

Dirty Art Club - Vermilion

https://dirtyartclub.bandcamp.com/

This album is probably as good as Trip-hop gets. A short, unknown album but it certainly isn't unskilled. If you really want to relax for 22 minutes, listen to this. Each track flows into the next really well and each song has some amazing layering.

Man this is tough. But I have to go with An Awesome Wave by Alt-j. The entire album just flows so well together and I honestly just love it. They actually just came out with their new album, so yeah. : D

My favorite song off the album. Enjoy!

Well, that's a question which is impossible for me to reply to, because the albums of my alltime favorite band are all amazing, all of the songs of all the albums are songs which I love and repeat listening to, it's like the perfect band who is doing the perfect songs, so I can't make a decision o: So my favorite albums would be Greedy Dead Souls, The Avoided Sun, The Buried, Shadows, I Believe In Me, Inferiority Complex and Gallows by lynch. :3

I don't really like ACTUAL bands that much, i'm usually with solo people and composers, so I would have to say that my favorite album from an actual band would be the Starbomb album by Starbomb.

This is an easy one for me. I'm normally an alternative metal fan, but my favorite album of all time is definitely the black album "Metallica" by Metallica. It came out in 1991, and I distinctly remember first listening to it in 1996 right when we moved to Atlanta. I was only 9 years old at the time, but my dad used to play it in his cassette ( yes, cassette. Remember this is the mid 1990s XD ) player all the time, so I really had no choice in listening to it. It is their greatest and most well known album ever!

I also used to like the "Hybrid Theory" album from Linkin Park, but I've recently grown tired of Linkin Park. I'm not really sure why, but their newer and more recent music just doesn't seem to interest me anymore.
