I don't know if this is the right forum, for me to post in to say this. But, anyways. I have finally gotten today, of what I longed for a new bible. My sister promised me to get a new one. Considering the bible that I had, used to be my fathers. So I couldn't understand it very well. And this also made me not to try and read more of my bible, which discouraged me. Even though I tried, it didn't feel right for me. As I have never had my OWN bible that, I was comfortable with. She also sent me another small book containing something useful. It is called Easy Bible by Margaret Ivory. I hope to better myself as a Christian. Now that I have a bible, that I can read happily and also to understand as well. I am really happy, as I am actually excited to read my bible. I finally now have time to read it, and to make time for it too.

mrfe : I know I asked you to help me with bible studies. Could you send to me again of what passage I should read?

Singelli : I had told you of this long ago. Though we don't really talk so much. I still want you to see this thread.

Popeye116 : Spammity spam spam.

That's awesome eni, I am muslim and really want to read the quran too. But I can't read arabic.

It's always good when you love your religion like that. I am happy for you as it calms you. Whenever I go to the mosque and pray it calms me.

Eniitan :  I know I wasn't summoned to this thread, but I want to reply to it anyway  If I may ask, what Bible translation did you get? The more literal translations of the original Greek / Hebrew scripts are the KJV, NKJV, ASB & NASB.  The “freer” translations, such as the NIV, NLT, and CEV, by necessity do more “interpretation” of the text, but are generally more readable.  I personally use the NKJV together with the NIV translation.  If you are looking for a Bible reading plan I can recommend some if you like

SoL@R : Um....I got new king James version 2 but sadly...my sister forgot that I can't read small text. So it may take time for me to read my bible fully...

edit, bible reading plan? Yes please I would like that. Yesterday I did some bible reading it was odd. Since I haven't doing bible reading in such a while. But the first book that my sister gave me to me was helpful, because it was in big text. And also because of me reading it to understand. I got to understand the bible a bit more as a whole. So when I do read my bible I won't be confused.

Eniitan :  I hope it's okay if I post you a link to Bible plans.  You can choose any of the ones listed.  There is a description of what each Bible reading plan is about.  Me and my wife are currently on the Chronological plan which is taking into account the order in which the recorded events actually occurred.  http://www.blueletterbible.org/dailyreading/

I would also use Commentaries together with your Bible reading plan.  Some are very comprehensive and explain exactly and clearly, verse by verse what the particular scripture is all about.  I have included a link to Pastor David Guzik's comments on all the books of the Bible, but there are many others that you can use.
