If so, how much?

Minecraft is fun, but I played as much as I wanted out of it on the Xbox 360.

But, the PC version attracts me very much, particularly with mods, but also. . .

With texture packs!

This one in particular. . .

http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/legend-of-zelda-majoras-craft/

Is pretty nostalgic to me.

Not only was MM one of the more innovative games available at the time and I think that it's pretty neat that I can sort of simulate being in that distant world of a fated land called . . .

Termina.

So, what say you?

Do texture packs make much of a difference?

Does the nostalgia make you have even more fun?

I think that combining BOTH is a great idea.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a Zelda Skin and all, but I LOVE LOVE the idea of shooting fire and ICE arrows at my enemies.

That would be pretty neat, right?

And being able to craft the master sword, not as a diamond sword reskin- but as an actual MASTER SWORD with DIFFERENT STATS, like range, blocking power, and swing speed, for like, 12 lapaz lazui, 15 iron and 1 gold bar would be neat.

Thoughts?

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

No, not really. I have yet to find a texture pack that looks good enough for me to look at constantly. I guess the texture pack that comes closest to making the game more enjoyable is the OCD pack. It makes the game look more sleek and clean. It's cool, but it gets a little too shiny for me after a while.

For me, not really. I would have to agree with Box that I just haven't found the right one yet. Most of the time I either just play the game on default or I randomly go through packs that I don't really like. I might like one for a few days or so and then I would end up getting bored of it. For me, its very hard to find one that can keep me interested for an extended period of time.

Enjoyable, but mostly because I haven't used many thematic texture packs. Most of the ones I've tried simply put more detail into the world.

I used LB Photo Realism X256 for the longest time. It's pretty incredible. It does add to the experience.

That said, the 'natural' texture pack makes me feel pretty nostalgic. It's the one thing that's stayed constant throughout my time playing Minecraft.

I really think changing the texture pack from time to time adds to the game. I know I enjoy playing with the Natural texture pack on XBOX 360 and it just seems to add something to it. I also enjoyed the Halloween texture pack from last year and the Plastic pack as well. I guess it could just be personal preference, but sometimes it nice to change things up in that game since it can get boring after a while. I do wish I could play the Skyrim music with the Natural texture pack though. That would truly be amazing.

I never liked playing with texture packs.
Texture packs doesn't interests me.

But however, theres ONE texture pack, that I really like.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/1223254-faithful-32x32-pack-update-alex-1-8

This still adds the Minecraft feel, I really like it, and it doesn't lag like with the original Minecraft textures for some reason .-.

I am a huge fan of Sphax BD Craft. It gives the game a sort of cartoonish feel and for me that makes the game more enjoyable.
