I'd recommend rock climbing to anyone who'd want to get in shape.

After a while your muscles grow like anything. Pushups with your legs on a higher surface are also great too if you want to stay in.

I would definitely say that I'm in shape. I love running, I really enjoy rock climbing (pretty much climbing anything, actually), and I go on long bike rides with some frequency. I am not the kind of person who works out and becomes huge (honestly never once lifted weights), but I am absolutely in good shape.

That doesn't indicate that you're in shape. From what i've noticed, people that are really skinny have an easier time doing push ups and pull ups.

I say being in shape matters for what you've got yourself in shape for.

I myself am in shape for sports, Football, Basketball, Track, etc. I run frequently. To stay fast and have stamina and I lift weights frequently for more size and strength. I'm trying to get to 210 in shape. I'm at 195 right now.

But to answer the thread, yes, i'm in shape.

I don't think amount of pushups / pullups doesn't make you stronger or more in shape then someone else really.

If your extremely skinny and can do 50 pull ups or push ups without getting tired its probably cause your a stick Add 300 pounds to your stick body and you will be pulling a lot more weight up

I'm fairly in shape at the moment.
I get a fair bit less in shape through winter though.
At the moment I play basketball, tennis and do 2 swimming trainings a week (swim about 4-5km in 1 hour).
But for some reason I'm not too good at pushups.
Could be because I actually do them properly

I don't have a lot of upper body strength but I have a lot of lower body strength.

I can probably do up to 9 miles straight but my goal is 26 miles, I really want to be able to run a marathon by upcomming summer.

I probably couldn't do more than 30 military pushups (and I don't mean those girly head bobbing pushups).

I can also push myself in extreme weather when it comes to running. I've ran in 100 degree weather, and I've ran in 0 degree weather (with a wind chill of -10).

I probably couldn't bench more than 150 pounds, though I've never tried and don't really care to.

I can do a lot of biking, the most I've put on a bike in a single day was 60 miles but my goal for that is about 100. I also do my exercise bike when I play Xbox 360, I try to put at least 4 hours on it a week.
