Who do you side with in the civil war of Skyrim? Do you believe Skyrim for the Nords or believe everyone is equal.

Stormcloaks - Totally racist and want to kill all Dark Elves and Non Nords. Also they don't like kittens on any form of baked good or pastry.

Imperials - Believe Skyrim should be free to everyone and fights for liberty. They had to ban the worship of Talos to keep the Dominion from destroying Skyrim which the Nords seem to forget about. Also they love kids, kittens and baked goods.

I get that the Stormcloaks want Skyrim to be their own land politcally and all that, but they need to step back a minute and look at the political situation across the continent. The Imperials are being pressured into banning Talos worship by the Altmers who are currently more powerful militarily then the Imperials. If the Empire didn't at least attempt to enforce this they would be at war with a political and military force they could not handle. Murdering the High King and then declaring civil war was not the way to handle this. Since they won't listen to diplomacy...

The treatment of the nords in their own land is abysmal. The imperials kidnap dissidents, talk down to the nords, ban their god, happily kill innocent people (start of the game)yada yada yada. The imperials, are imperial.

They took the land from the inhabiting Falmer, Orcs, and Forsworn, and treated them (and still do) as the imperials are acting upon the Nords. What goes around comes around. Also, I thought it was the one group of elves that banned their god, or am I mistaken? I could be wrong on this, I haven't played it in a while.

The Thalmor and empire fought to a draw but the empire gave in to the tjalmer conditions for peace, that talos worship be banned throughout the empire, and that hammerfell be ceded to the aldmeri dominion.
Thetes no clear good guys in skyrim (which is nice, realism), but the the imperial treatment of their own people spun it for me.

I chose to the Legion in my original Skyrim Profile.

     The reason  I chose Imperial was because the Nords always annoyed me and reminded me of the traditional southern culture that I'm surrounded by in my real life, because I live in Georgia, USA.  The Nords get stuck in their ways, head strong and arrogant, usually to their own chagrin.

     I however don't agree with all the politics of the Imperials, either.
They for one, are easily persuaded by other rulers such as the Aldmeri Dominion to do things mostly against their better judgment.

     I think if the Nords won the war and became free from the Empire, it wouldn't be long before the Aldmeri Dominion came after them themselves, and even the Empire, a Legion with multiple Provinces of Tamriel under their control, is intimidated by the Dominion! 
The Civil War of Skyrim is battle that the Nords would never win.

There is my two cents on the whole thing, but anyways I vote for the Empire.

The first time I picked Imperials because I didn't want to be a Stormcloak and get attacked every time I went to a stronghold. Well, that's not the case now, so this time, I picked the Stormcloaks so I could play through that side of the story line.
