So what is your favorite character in the Fire Emblem series and why? The characters can be playable or just NPCs. For me, my favorite character is Canas from FE7 for being a brick that nothing could damage (except snow).

Soren from path/dawn had a back story that I coincidentally found out about while I had something in my eye
I always wondered why he was so cold, yet so loyal to Ike whom he obviously shared a different viewpoint then.
Of course, when his story is explored, it all makes sense. His entire personality makes sense
Plus he earns extra points for being the scariest mage to grace the series

baileyface544 : I really liked how they built up his story over two games.

5benfive5 : Oh yeah, I completely agree. Path of Radiance truly was a game that deserved a sequel. For story alone, it's secured it's placed as my favorite Fire Emblem game, and the gameplay was great as well. Though Radiant Dawn wasn't as good as it's predecessor in my opinion, it still was a worthy successor, and did not disappoint.

My Favorite is either Lyndis, or Chrom.  While Lyndis has a more boring role being the tutorial character until much later in the game, I find I enjoy how her story of life is put out there, she's no damsel in distress and is a very self confident person, with no fear and has decent morales.

Chrom was just a fun character to play as, while I was more interested in making the tactician an op fellow, since it was the first game you could play as one, I ended up marrying his sister and being his best bud...well my character anyway, He certainly is a person who has similar characteristics with Eliwood and Lyndis in the first World released games, and Ephraim in Sacred Stones.  I loved the path of radiance game and what it brought to Fire Emblem.. but I have never owned a copy of Radiant Dawn to see how they developed the characters.  I think if I had the chance to play it, that may change my answer from some of the answers to this thread.  Thanks for posting it! It's really nice to see what everyone else thinks of characters in the franchise

My favorite character from the Fire Emblem games that I've played so far has to be Seth from Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. He is very loyal and willing to protect the ones that he loves no matter what. He even had a wound but was willing to fight. That's pure dedication and loyalty!

FE 12 says that the canonical sacrifice was Frey and that he survived.

I got a few, for many different reasons.

Hector: Why? Its Hector! He hits hard, he can take hits for days, He kinda reminds me of Kamina (mostly from his mini-picture on the overworld map), and he's very wild.

Lyn: She's a pretty good unit (besides the near wet toilet paper defenses), and she's hot (just look at her Awakening art hehe).

Franz: He's just such a reliable unit in my runthrough of SS, and probably my favorite Cavalier ever.

Canas: LUNA 2-SHOT FINAL BOSS WOOOO

Rebecca: probably the only good archer I've ever used. Fast, and hit hard in my recent playthrough of FE7.

While I like every character in Awakening (except the Spotpass characters), It's kinda spread out, and there's nothing I can really say that makes them really good in my eyes. Except Morgan. (S)he is OP.
