So, I don't know if it was your intention to post in the Christian Conservative forum, but something that needs to be point out is that Christians believing that homosexuality is a sin and not support same sex marriage are not doing it based on "norm", so homosexuals as a majority or a minority would be irrelevant. Christians believe that there is a higher standard that states that homosexual acts are immoral and is no different with other acts and thoughts that are sinful. In viewing that they are sins and understanding the curse of sin, anyone is possible in doing such acts because everyone is corrupted by sin. Some people are more susceptible to certain sins more than others (Some struggle more in gossip, others struggle more with being truthful, some struggle with lust and porn) People can't be saved and transformed from these sins on their own power except of the power of Christ. So if people are talking about whether someone is born with it or whether someone chooses it, in a biblical perspective, it's both. Because everyone is born with the curse of sin, so " the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth." (Genesis 8:21) So if everyone is born with homosexual desires, it wouldn't be surprising. However, people can change and be transformed to be more like God and desire good and holiness. To hate the things that God hates and love the things that God loves. That only happens when God saves people from their own sinful desires through being a Christian, and in repenting and trusting in Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life, God promises to change your heart and your desires. "And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26). Also, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The one thing that this video does show that Christian can learn is the type of bullying and harassment level depicted in the film is something that is wrong to do towards homosexuals. Even when we believe that it's a sin, it is also wrong to treat homosexuals in that way and basically "two wrongs don't make a right". I am someone who also support that using words like "gay" or the f word in a demeaning way towards homosexuals is wrong. It is not a right or biblical way of treating homosexuality the "Westboro Baptist Church" way.
