As many of you know, I like debating. I have debated with people on most ccontroversial issues. One issues that I have not debated with people about is gay marriage, and that is because I don't really care about it either way. Honestly, I don't care if gays are allowed to get married or not.

For me its the obesity debate. What I mean is there is controversy as the government is trying to change food guidelines and try to make people eat better. I know this is probably bad on me but I'm going to eat the food I always have, regardless what messages the government puts out. 

Another issue and this might sound strange since I am a Biologist/ weather forecaster, but the global warming thing. I think the earth's climates go into cycles. Plus right now here in America we got more important issues to worry about besides climate change

There is tons of evidence to disprove global warming. The Earth definitely has climate cycles, and the polar ice caps have actually grown in the past few years. I also care about the obesity debate a lot. I think it is important that the government stops trying to tell us what we can and can't eat. Not only are they limiting us and hurting the fast food business, they are also spending less time on important things. Who cares that there are some fat people when millions of unborn babies are being murdered?

Man, I really had to wrack my brain to discover if really give a crap about any controversial issue. I suppose the one that I care the least about is abortion. Terminate a pregnancy or don't I don't care. If it was my wife that was the pregnant one? I really can't provide for a fifth child adequately but if the abortion option wasn't there I'd figure a way I suppose. Ultimately, it wouldn't be my decision though - not my body. Leave it to women to figure it out.

I agree with you, My biggest issues are The Right to bear arms, being pro life, and pro Israel  as well as religious freedom (rights of the church) those are the 4 I'm  passionate about. I guess I was trying to say everything else takes a backseat

I do not care about any controversial issue the least. They are all extremely important. Especially the ones where people are tying to limit freedoms (gay marriage, abortion, etc.). I don't really care about one's personal beliefs, but denying people the right to do what they want to do with themselves is inhumane. If you do not like it, do not personally involve yourself in it. Plain and simple.

Honestly, I think why should we care about obesity, it mocks hunger yes, it makes the country look bad, yes, but really it's their life choice, and if they want to get fit they can, even if they don't have the will power "programs" and "booster drugs" are available.

There are probably tons of 'controversial' issues I could hardly care less about.  Global warming jumps up as an example, but I think there are a lot of things we stress over as a society, and it's totally ridiculous and pointless.

I don't care a lot about gun control as well but that's because like Zlinqx it's not a big issue here in Europe. Obesity however is getting worse and it's something I care about as I was pretty shocked to hear how many obesed people there are in the USA and the UK.

I will be voting yes (me and my parents are the only ones voting yes in my dad's side of the family and one of my Auntie's and cousin has been very vocal towards the No side.) but I am fed up with it now. Kinda split my family a bit. I am interested in the possible EU referendum.
