My cousin just got her license and is now anxious to dry anywhere, just for the sake of driving. However my mom always complains about having to drive places. So I want to know, do you enjoy driving or not? If you cannot drive yet, are you looking forward to being able to drive?

I can't drive yet, but I am definitely looking forward to being able to drive. I'll be able to go wherever I want whenever I want.... assuming I can afford the gas that is

I love driving. It is what I want to do for my career, is to be a truck driver. I was offered a couple of different jobs when I joined the Army, but I chose to be a truck driver because I really wanted to drive. I always loved going on road trips, and loved it whenever my Dad would let me drive the car around town for him when he had a few errands to run. 

It really depends, most of the time I hate it but sometimes it's nice to just for the sake of being alone. I cannot stand traffic so driving in the city is nerve-wracking for me but you do what you got to do. But when you first get your license of course you're going to want to drive around a bunch, it's like getting this whole new freedom to go where you please, so long as you have the gas for it haha. Your cousins joy may wear off eventually, some people really just enjoying driving though.

Maybe it's just because I'm new to it, but I can't say I enjoy driving. I'm always far too busy being paranoid and glancing at every mirror, the speedometer, and the road.

tgags123 : You will find out just how expensive gas is when you start driving. Gas is a necessity, but unfortunately very expensive.

In my case, I HAVE to like driving, whether I actually do like it or not. I'm in the car at least 1-2 hours every single day, driving back and forth to work most of the time. It sucks when you have to sit in traffic, but its equally very nice when there's no cars on the road. You have to be very careful though, because there are maniacs out there...and most of them ride motorcycles.

I enjoy driving most of the time. Mainly because even though I have my license, I rarely get any chance to drive. Whenever I do, I get really paranoid about other drivers and my speedometer though. So the feelings about driving are sometimes mixed, but I mostly like driving.

I do not particularly like driving. I have my permit right now, and I am a little bit nervous when I do certain things (especially checking a blind spot). Despite the fact that many people find it enjoyable, I actually find it to be rather boring, so I also try to avoid driving whenever possible. Then again, I have been driving much more frequently because of the necessity of owning a license, even though I really do not want to. 

I like to drive.  It represent freedom and the ability to go long distances at a moment's notice.  I can run out, do things, and come back in.  I don't have to plan a day around how I'm going to get stuff to do housework, like painting a wall or building something. 

It also allows me to work in other locations.  I can have a job I like, even if the commute is 40 minutes one way and gas gets eaten up in the drive.  I have choices, options, and freedom.

If there's any representation of America, it's cars, choices, options, and freedom.  Cruising down a road on a nice day, with the sun out, with some good music  and your arm out the window after a day of work may be one of the best experiences ever.

I hate driving. I have poor hand to eye coordination and depth perception so it is a pain in the butt to drive (also makes my job a little bit harder). People are crazy on the road too, it sucks, I really don't see how someone could enjoy driving.

Yes, I do like driving. When I can drive fast on the open road. I live in Atlanta, where traffic is horrible, so I like going somewhere else to drive.

I like driving to an extent. Lately I've been driving every weekend, and I got a good handle on the basics. I enjoy it.

I haven't got a chance to get my permit let alone my license yet ... I am looking foward to it eventually when I have a steady income and can afford a car and actually get a chance to go to take the test. I think it will make me really nervous at first but eventually I will get used to it and it will be nothing like most people say.

I only have my permit. I'm eligible to get my regular license and have been for a little over 6 months but I just haven't gotten around to it because it doesn't matter much to me. So basically, driving doesn't bother me but there's nothing about it that is particularly enjoyable for me. I don't mind driving any distance in any car. I just usually don't find it fun for any reason. It's funny, when I was younger I thought that driving would be the most fun thing ever. It's just eh though I guess.

I never learned to drive, and I doubt I ever will. I just don't really like it, and I plan on using public transportation for as long as I can.

I love driving. It's mostly why I am going to be a semi truck driver starting in December right after my 21st birthday. And , I will be making good money doing it, too. 

Not really, honestly. I'd much rather be a passenger and just stare out the window. I don't like having to focus and pay attention if I can avoid it.

I don't think I ever want to drive no what anyone tells me. I've been out in the streets and there are either bad drivers with no common, those who cannot drive, or have serious case of road rage in general. I don't ever want to deal with that ever and plus it causes unnecessary stress to me when dealing about a car's function and physical appearance as well as strangers that I don't want to deal with.

I am not really one for driving unless it is absolutely necessary, I've been going out for driving practice recently and that alone is already more than enough for me to handle all at once. I guess the fact that there are so many careless drivers out there that I have no control over is what scares me the most...I've seen one too many programs on reckless driving or how many teenagers get killed on the road each year....it has really just made me very alert and fearful of driving. A couple of my friends got their permit recently and they've been badgering me to go and get mine, but I'm really in no rush to throw myself on the road and get put into a life or death situation.... I know I might not have the right mentality or attitude when it comes to driving, but its really been something I'm not ready to take head on just yet. I guess I can only worry about myself and be the best driver I possibly can, and not worry about all the careless people out there. I much prefer being a passenger just because I can stare out of the window and lay my head back completely care free, something I wouldn't be able to do as a driver because it is a completely different situation entirely.
