Nietono no Shana or Blutsaugr from Shakugan no Shana would be best. The first stores the soul of Tenmoku Ikko, who can slay just about anyone easily, and it also grows more powerful with each kill. Blutsaugr is also exceptionally powerful because if you try to block it, it will still do damage to you through whatever item you are using to block it.

I'll take the Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII. It is a sword with the added benefit of a gun. It would definitely give it's user a short and long range advantage.

Excalibur from Fate/Zero is more powerful than any weapon listed here. It's special anti-fortress move is also incredibly OP. However it takes some time to charge up. I also love it more because I'm a huge fan of Arthurian Legend. It helps that Saber (the one who wields it) is a total bad@$$.

My all time favourite sword is Virgil's Sword Yamato from the Devil May Cry Game series,(the original series not the new DmC,) it not only can slice clean through dimensions it can open and close Gates to the underworld, Something that Canonically Virgil's dad Sparda had to die to completely do.
