You have a nice cold soda, but now you want water, but you feel lazy. Do you use your soda bottle for water, like me? Or do you just tough it out and get the cup?

I have to get the cup. I can't stand drinking water out of a soda bottle for some reason. It just grosses me out. I probably failed to rinse my bottle good enough when I tried it before and ended up with the weakened flavor in my water or something. Not sure.

Either way, no, I can't reuse a soda bottle for water for some reason. Cup all the way.

It depends on where we are but I will reuse a soda bottle 1-2 times and then I will have the water in a cup of glass

No I don't use soda bottles for water but I use water bottles for soda, not really. I don't drink a lot of soda so I rarely have bottles.

I have done that before, but most of the time I use Gatorade or Powerade bottles for water. I used to work with my dad doing drywall work, so having some water available was really important. Whenever we took a break for lunch, we'd go to the gas station and pick up something simple like a hot dog and a Gatorade, or something like that. Then, after I finished the Gatorade/Powerade, I'd refill it with water. But I can use a soda bottle if need be. It doesn't really matter. Just as long as the bottle was clean...

I would use those bottles just because they can contain a good amount of liquid in them and it would want to use them again if I'm thirsty. If I can't refill these bottles, I wouldn't want to bother with keeping the bottle. Also, if I can't rinse the bottle itself, I won't do it, because I don't want to have some type of soda flavor watered down in the bottle itself. No matter what flavor, it tastes awful when it's mixed with a large amount of water.

I personally would prefer to not use a soda bottle just because it would feel strange using it and it would just feel weird for me considering I really don't drink a lot of soda to begin with. It depends on the situation though, most of the time we use the soda bottle and pour it in cups and throw it away when it's finished. I much prefer using cups which are pretty easily accessible for me. If I were to ever actually use one though, I would wash it very thoroughly so that when I am drinking water it tastes like water and doesn't have the mixed taste of the soda as well.

I use any bottle for water. It doesn't matter what type. If I need water I'll use what ever is availible. Soda bottles can have a good amount of water depending on what size.

I don't drink soda, not ever ! I react badly to soda so I have no need to use the bottles just for water. However, I sometimes use juice bottles and fill water in them but than you get that weird after taste at times.

I used to use soda bottles for my water back in high school but now I don't really do that anymore. I actually have real and better bottles now to use for my water.

I mean, yeah. I will use anything for a water bottle. I am too cheep to buy pre packaged unless I have to drink water like in Florida, which tastes horrible,so I just fill something up with tap water.

Finally some people are saying yes.

I probably fill up my current 2 liter bottle on average of 2 times a day.

Most of the time, no. Unless I was out somewhere and I wanted to bring the water with me. If that was the case, then I would re-fill my soda bottle. But if I was just at home, I would use a cup.

I use it every now and again, but I don't really use it that often, since normally I get rid of my bottle when I'm done.

I don't reuse soda bottles, but I do reuse plastic cups from fast food places.  At one point, they were the only cups me and my husband had... and we had TONS of them.  LOL  We have a full set of dishes now, but I still keep anywhere from 5-10.  If the dishes aren't done, the plastic cups are easy to grab on the go and since we usually get large drinks.... they hold a lot of liquid.  Plus, I don't have to feel bad about tossing them later on in the day if I'm at work or whatever.  AND.... the styrofoam cups are great for preventing sweat and keeping liquids cool.

I don't know why more people don't use them.

Yeah I do, what sounds more plausible? 1.75 for a bottle of WATER? Or 2.50 ish for your favorite soda and refilling on 1 cent prices? Basically, don't pay for water when it cost 1/10th or less of a penny at home, and at Disney or 6 flags or whatever, buy the soda if you must have a water bottle, but never buy water bottles alone!
