Any myth in the whole world, which would you choose? I was talking with a friend the other day and I recalled a memory of when I was little I would get the hose and try to make a rainbow with it all in the hopes of find gold at the end of it! Ridiculous but genius in my head at the time. It would be great if that were actually the case, so that's probably what I would choose.

I would like The Puss in Boots to be true, it would be awesome to have such a tough cat who can defend you and make sure that you have a great life.

I can not really think of any. I supposed the gold at the end of the rainbow would be awesome for it to be legitly true. I could use the money right now.

hmm probably Kelpie's which is a water horse that originated in Scotland. it is a spirit or demon that is aid to roam in lochs,rivers and pools around Scotland and can take the appearance of a human but it is believed that you can still see its hooves while in human form. They usually appear as a "rough shaggy man" but it was once appeared as a "woman dressed in green". Kelpie's take their victims deep into the water where the person drowns and the Kelpie devours them and leaves their entrails on waters edge. Many people it originated in reflection of human sacrifices to water gods and water spouts that came over the surface in the impression of a living form. I like this mtyical creature but wouldn't ant to meet him,her it.

There's really only one option here... the time-honored but never officially recognized bit wherein if you're remotely important to a story somewhere, you're more or less immune to getting fat, out of shape or catching a debilitating but temporary ailment.  You're a character, drat it!  No matter how minor you are, no matter what bad habits you have, nothing is going to change for the worse unless it's a running gag ("how do you get even heavier every time we meet?") or something that's fatal within hours. 

Plays and operas have done it since ancient times.  Stories never want to slow things down by having an NPC out sick with a 7-day flu unless that delay is somehow crucial.  Video games are even worse offenders; altering a character's image is resource intensive and achieves next to nothing, but can ruin the value of an easily recognized copyrighted image.  That's why Mario could live to be 300 and he'll still be, well, this little un-aging plumber dude who wouldn't be able to pick a wrench out of a lineup but is real good at crushing large foes underfoot.

Interesting topic, I think it would actually be pretty cool if each time you wished upon a shooting star, and it actually granted your wish, but then again I could see that wish getting ruined because a lot of people would abuse it and waste it on silly wishes...There are a few other things that come to mind like the lochness monster, UFOs and some other miscellaneous stuff that I think would be really cool if we had a little more info on as far as myths go.

This was far too hilarious to not mention. The myth that cats always land on their feet would be sweet if it was true. I can just picture a cat jumping off a tall building and just landing on its feed and walking away like it was nothing. If that were the case, we would be seeing cats jumping from high places on a more regular basis, which would be both awesome and hilarious. Or better yet, if a cat jumped out of a plane and just landed on the ground like it was no big deal, that would be the trippiest thing to see.

If there's anything that a myth can prove to me that I wish it were real, it would go for pure world peace, but we all know it will never happen.

As for me, if I could pick any myth?  What a difficult question!

I guess one cool myth that would be awesome (were it true) is that lightning never strikes the same place twice.  Imagine how this could increase safety during a thunderstorm!  People could mark 'safe spots' for travellers or people caught out in the storm.... and the chance of getting struck would be greatly minimized!

Actually, I'd be particularly fond of the myth about the White Lady in Maplestory, she was rumored to be a admin that was framed for posting inappropriate pictures, (photoshopped of course), of one of the employees, who in retaliation went to her house to murder her. There are two branching off paths in this rumor, one states that she had never logged out of her account and that her spirit haunts Perion, banning players who see her, and the other path is that the admins had made a memorial for the woman, but a hacker had corrupted it so it started auto banning, and the creators haven't taken it out yet. 
There are multiple fake videos about her on Youtube, and also a private server was made and she was placed in it! Anyway, I would love this myth to be true because I just wanna see her, it would creep me out but it'd be awesome... I'd just have to do it with an alt.

I remember my parents telling me when I was younger was that milk helps you grow. I was very gullible when I was younger and I would drink milk everyday. Guess what? It never worked and I am still short since height is often based on genetics.
I wish that this myth was true!

I would love it if the folk tale about the Viking at Stamford Bridge was really more than a folk tale and actual history.

Unicorns.. They fart rainbows. Just to make this post longer and interesting, they don't really fart rainbows I don't even know why I said that. Rainbows are actually rays of sun-light shining through the horn on their head, which is actually a mystic substance prism, and so the light turns into rainbows.

Or leprechauns.. Could they be real, or myth?
