Let me explain the scenario to you. You just died. You are waiting to get into Heaven. Even if you don't believe in Heaven, just pretend you do for the purpose of this thread. God (even if you don't believe in God, again please just pretend you do for the sake of this thread) asks you "Why should I let you into Heaven?" What do you say?

I honestly don't know what I would say. Probably something like "It is your choice whether or not I deserve to get into Heaven or not. I am not worthy to make a decision like that."

What would you say? Would you talk about all of the great things you have done, would you be modest, or what?

Hmmm, I think I'll probably say the same thing as in paragraph two: "It is your choice whether or not I....." because God IS an almighty one and he doesn't even need me say what I did because he already knows, so talking about my achievement in my life is like repeating the same paragraph, which isn't necessary.

But of course, one might be too shocked in this moment so he might not think properly and might say things he/she doesn't need to.

Being a Christian, I've thought about this a lot actually. To me, I am not worthy at all. If God is real, then that means the Bible is true. If the Bible is true, then it took Jesus living a perfect life and dying for each and every single sin I have ever sinned just to allow me to stand in front of God without being instantly condemned to hell. I think that sin can be defined as "a willful betrayal of THE perfect and holy God". If that's true, I'm screwed. No question. All my life, I've been screwing up according to Biblical standards. Worse yet, I am completely incapable of living up to those standards for even a day. How awful would that be? I die, realize that fact as I'm standing in front of God, and realize there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. There is no question, I am going to hell for my actions.

Therefore, when God asks that question, the only valid response (again, assuming God is real and that therefore the Bible is true) is to say 'you know that I am not worthy to even wash your feet. How can I, therefore, be counted worthy enough to correctly discern whether I am acceptable enough for heaven? By failing just once, I have failed to meet the standard of perfection that you require. The only fair option is hell, and I know it."

However (here comes theology ), as a Christian, I believe that Jesus stooped Himself to be confined as a man, lived a perfect life (not just being good, but also being found right in God's eyes), and then took on our sin as only He could as He died upon a cross. Death on a cross was the most brutal way to die then, to my knowledge, and it was reserved for only the worst criminals. Generally, people died from suffocation on a cross. They had to literally pull themselves up by the nails in their wrists just to get a breath, due to how they hung when suspended in the air. Eventually, they'd tire out and not be able to get another breath. That's when they'd suffocate and die. If they didn't die by sundown (they were crucified on the night before the sabbath, a holy day in Jewish customs where no work could be done), the prisoners legs and arms would be broken and they'd be re-crucified after sabbath ended. This is what Christians believe Jesus went through to pay for our sins, and this is the only way we are allowed access to Heaven.

Haha seriously though. I've never thought about it like that before. Great reply. I can tell you really put a lot thought into that. Not at all something you would expect to hear from a 16 year old.

Thanks! I'm happy that made sense to you lol, I was kinda half expecting that I used too much Christian lingo, therefore making it hard to understand

Still deciding on whether or not to take that last sentence as a compliment or not.. I find that it's not hard to think deeper than most 16 year olds. Too many just don't care enough.

I would say the same thing you said because it's a great answer and I can't think of any better answer since I'm an Atheist.

Assuming this is the Christian God we are talking about and God knows everything, the logical solution would be to tell him that you are unworthy, but that in itself could just be seen as you attempting to cover your tracks, so to speak. Then again, anything else that one can say would likely be even worse in this situation, so I would simply go with that route. 

Why are you asking me that question either let me in heaven or not. Hurry up!
