Welcome to the Team Competition for the 2014 Summer Tour de Vizzed!

Originally we weren't planning on having a team tournament, but the big boss changed his mind after having seen how much everyone wanted it!

It’s the eleventh Tour de Vizzed. Are there still ways left to make teams?! Surprisingly enough, we haven’t run out. This time around, your team will be dependant upon your username, or more specifically, the NUMBER OF CHARACTERS in it.

What defines a character is pretty standard. If you’re having trouble or don’t know for certain, try typing the username in question into this handy tool:

Basically, it's the combination of spaces and symbols that make up your username. Sword legion has 12 characters and is on Team Two. legacyme3 has 9 characters and is on Team Nine. Davideo7 has eight characters and is on Team Eight. Simple enough, right?

There will be 10 teams, as follows.

- Team Zero
- Team One
- Team Two
- Team Three
- Team Four
- Team Five
- Team Six
- Team Seven
- Team Eight
- Team Nine

If your username is greater than nine characters, you use the last digit to know your team. For example, EideticMemory has 13 characters, so I am in Team Three.

10,000 Viz
If your team wins and you make the top 3 overall in the Tour De Vizzed

5,000 viz
If your team wins and you make the top 5 overall in the Tour De Vizzed
or
If your team gets 2nd and you make the top 3 overall in the Tour De Vizzed

2,500 viz
If your team wins and you make the top 10 overall in the Tour De Vizzed
or
If your team gets 2nd and you make the top 5 overall in the Tour De Vizzed
or
If your team gets 3rd and you make the top 3 overall in the Tour De Vizzed

Don’t forget to let Davideo7 know if you qualify for one of the prizes once the competition ends!

I'll be on team seven I see. I think that if I join up more people will be interested because I'm doing my best today. Then again, there will be days I'll be a lot less active, so everybody with 8, 18 28 letters etc. is warned.

After quite a few DQs and a ban, the first day's results are up. Team Eight managed to grab the early lead, despite zanderlex's 16 points for Team Nine. Clearly a single person can make a difference, but it's truly team work that's the most effective.

On the DQ side of things, not following rules lost Team Zero a whole fifteen points!

EideticMemory : May I suggest something?

You know when you list the points gained today why don't you group them by the teams they are in... It makes the post look more presentable and easier to read. Plus it will also help people see who their team mates are and how they are doing

Of course this is only a suggestion so if you feel more comfortable doing it the way you are then feel free.

P.S Nice idea on how to split the members of vizzed into fair teams

EideticMemory : Yes that's exactly what I meant, You should also find it easier to keep track of who is on what team this way.. Though let's face it I don't think anyone struggles to count to twenty

Have fun hosting the team competition, and hopefully this thread won't be spammed with people stating what team they are on.. We can all count you know

DUDE, I might actually be on a winning team this TdV...assuming that the competitiveness continues (or we could just end the competition right now and I can get that Viz prize, LOL) Anyways, this might motivate me in actually competing for one of those top places.
