Another TdV is in the vicinity, it's time to set some rules regarding posting during TdV months (even during non-TdV months). On how TdV goes, you all post and contribute to the site as much as you can and to be the top dog on the site, well, some of those people wants to cheat their way to that and that isn't really fair to everyone, and Game Guides is one of those places where that can happen, so I'm going to set some rules up regarding posting guides/walkthroughs during TdV month, even if this isn't TdV month, this is still something to check out as well.

Under the new TdV rules starting July 1, 2014, The Red jersey has been changed to "Most CPs earned during the day" from the old "Most words posted in a single post", so others won't try and make a spammy guide or plagiarized walkthrough.

Also, to let you all know, it's really wise to not keep summoning the Local Mods, because even one summon will get us to the guide, and summons after that will be quite spammy and it's very frowned on and mostly spamming your way to a jersey. Just to let you know, since I'm going to be the only Mod (excluding the Globals+) in the Game Guides forum since rcarter2's retirement from being a mod due to computer issues during Summer 2014's TdV, I have a whole lot of things on my plate including my job on Sun-Wed, but I do get on everyday around 9:30 P.M. (Server time) and I really don't want to see a billion notifications when I get online. So, just summon me once and I will get right at it, I would understand if you get ninja'd when you summon a mod, but other than that, it's not a really good idea.
I will ignore any summoned posts starting with the 2nd summon and after (unless the 2nd summoner got ninja'd).
Ninja'd means someone posted like within a couple minutes or seconds before you posted.

For plagiarized reviews, during TdV, I see a lot of this, and even during non-TdV months, this is very frowned on, and making a plagiarized review during TdV will give you an automatic 1 day ban from the Game Guides forum and the Game Review forum (3 day for 2-4 plagiarized guides and 5 day for 5+ plagiarized guides), and if it continues, you'll face more bans and maybe a permanent one if it keeps up after that.

I know how TdV can be, on the very first day of the very first TdV I've been a mod, I seen someone spam a bunch of random, pointless letters, numbers, & characters with like a couple sentences that was helpful, and to let you know, during TdV months, if you beef up your guides by making pointless characters during TdV, like doing something similar to what GameFAQs does, and isn't allowed on this site, not just it's spammy, but it distracts the reader as well.

Here are some examples of these..

. . . . . . : : : : : : : :[[A guide of a game you're doing]] : : : : : : : . . . . . .

with multiple dashes line on each line in like these

Text images, you know what I mean by those, if not, Google "images made of text" and you know what I mean.
Or anything else like those.

You will first get a warning or maybe a 1, 3, or 5-day ban from both the Game Guides forum & the Game Reviews forum for spamming depending on how bad it is, and possibly DQed from a jersey for that whole month, but if it's multiple guides like this, it will be an automatic 1, 3, or 5-day ban, depending on how bad they all are.
The reason with this, it's a complete waste of time and sometimes, we might suggest that the walkthrough might be a plagiarized.

Also, with Rule #4 in the Game Guides forum (which was updated earlier this month), Walkthroughs "Can Not" be spitted into separate unlike during the non-TdV months, due to the fact that it'll cause problems with both the most words for the day jersey and most CPs earned for the day jersey.

Note, the rules in rule #4 has been updated so that walkthroughs split up during TdV will be allowed, but only if you know that it's going to go above the 999 CP per post limit and and you also ask for permission from one of the Game Guides mods (who is me (IgorBird122), Vanelan, Global+, and future Game Guides mods), failure to do so will result in a ignoring and revoking.

Kinda what I said in the Game Review forum, everyone wants their 1 day of fame, don't we all want that? We all do, but it's really wise to not spam. So, if you haven't read the rules, it's best to read them,

IgorBird122 : What if I created a Game Guide from my computer and copy and pasted it from Notepad into Vizzed, what would happen?

realplayer109 : I think because of that disappearing glitch, I think personally that might be alright to do, I don't think much of anything will happen if you post content you made, if it was on a notepad and it's nowhere online, even if it's yours, I have no problem with that.

IgorBird122 : What about grammar issues? I have read MANY walkthroughs and reviews that have a substantial amount of grammar errors. The most common type of error that I have seen is the run-on sentence, in which the author continues the sentence by using many commas in accordance with certain conjunctions ( like 'and' or 'but' ) instead of properly ending that statement with a period or other necessary punctuation. This could be considered an attempt to boost word count in some cases. I can understand that there is room for error when making a review / walkthrough and it does not have to be absolutely perfect but when their work contains errors in almost every sentence of their post, that's when I start getting suspicious. It's almost like the author refuses to put any effort into his/her work.
