Ah,hello friends. It is i relinquish, anyway onto my topic. Its summer and while everyone is out partying,i am sitting in my house reading manga, which is not a bad thing (In my case at least..) But after Re-reading some death note volumes i have recently been encountering some..issues.It is so hard to Re-read it,like really freaking terrible. And i don't know why.

I can read all 25 volumes of soul eater in a week, and do it again without a problem,but..Something is not clicking.Perhaps its because death note sort of has that element of "You are supposed to be suprised, and shocked at the newest twist" But here is the problem,i already know what the twist is.I have already witnessed the adventures of Light Yagami plenty of times. And nothing will ever change.

And Death note is not exclusive in my collection.I have problems Re-reading Attack on titan.Hellsing.Fullmetal alchemist.Blood lad.Bleach (Though to be fair, bleach is an EXTREMELY long running series) And i can go on and on about this, but perhaps its just natural. That is of course why i am asking this question. And if i was not clear enough before, allow me to ask you again.

Do you have trouble Re-reading manga? Do you even Re-read it at all? Please let me know.

Apologies for grammar. As i am an idiot.

Light,you're awesome but..I can't read you again.Sorry.

I don't re-read Mangas anymore. I find it extremely hard to. I already know what is going to happen, and I just don't feel the same as I did when I read it the first time.

Let's take Soul Eater for an example. First time reading it I was all like "Oh my god, plot twist! New, amazing character! New Powers! So amazing!""
But if I decide to read it again, it would be more like "Yup, knew that was gonna happen. Oh look, this character is introduced, oh look, that power" and it just doesn't feel right, so I decide not to do so, as it just feels boring the second or third or however times I read it.

[On an unrelated (death) note, this is my 1301th post, so yay~]

I have trouble reading a lot of manga... at least, all of the way through.
I cannot read manga all the way through for the same reasons you noted: You already know what's going to happen.
HOWEVER, I enjoy reading certain parts of manga. Usually I just scan through for my favourite bits (whether they're awesome, sad, or just plain funny) and just reread those because I find them really well done.

It really depends on what the manga is, but usually, I do not have a problem with re-reading manga. There are some manga that I don't mind re-reading again, and there are others that I can't seem to get into re-reading. Some manga I read and really enjoy are the ones I pretty much don't mind reading the whole thing again, while there are others where I just like to reread my favorite parts. Then there are those that I have trouble re-reading for different reasons, sometimes being I don't get the same feeling of enjoyment I had when I first read it, sometimes being I already know what happens and don't see the point in rereading it again, and sometimes I just don't feel like rereading it.

I've never really felt the need to re-read any of the manga I've read. There are some particular scenes/chapters I'll really like and re-read but I've never full out read the whole manga twice. I have a hard enough time sticking with many manga as it is though, ongoing series are hard to keep up with them all. I end up dropping them for a while before picking them back up when there's more available to read.

I usually have trouble re-doing anything. Since the content is already in my head, and I know what is going to happen after every action it ruins the fun. The initial viewing will always be my best, and the only time I can get an experience close to that is by going back many years later. There is some manga that I have been able to re-read, but only after long periods of time. It just pains me to be wasting my time on the same exact content I remember in almost its entirety.

No, it is actually pretty fun for me to re read manga. When I read a book, I normally miss a ton of key details in the book, so when I re read them, it makes it a lot easier for the story to make sense.

Well, in the rare case that I read manga, I don't really find myself having too much trouble rereading too much manga. I mean, if I read it once, I don't have too much of a problem reading it again.

I think the only manga I have ever re-read fully would have to be Eyeshield 21, but that's because I had a major infatuation with one of the characters, *coughs*Hiruma*coughs*. Other than Eyeshield I have the same problem with re-reading anything.

I always have trouble rereading Naruto or Naruto Shippuden. Whenever there is a certain part I want to reread it takes me a good 30 minutes or more to find the part. I do this so I can refresh my memory on epic battles and important information that is mention later on. I do this often because Naruto Shippuden is a very long on going series.

I also had a little trouble rereading Death Note because whenever there was a long and important conversation there would be a lot of text within one bubble. I found it annoying having to try to skim my way through each bubble with 30 words in it.

I can re-read but it takes me a good couple of years to even want to. Some I skim for parts I remember, to see if my memory holds out. Maison Ikkoku I reread probably every 3-4 years. I don't mind that one.

Never. If I get past the first chapter I will be able to read it as many times as possible. I have already read Mysterious Girlfriend X five times and it isn't even finished yet. Reading Manga is better than the anime is some ways and less in others. The most notable is the fact that Manga has more story line and the facts as the original author had them in mind. Definitely Re-reading Manga is very fun and I have no trouble with it.

In all honesty, I find rereading a manga to be very enjoyable, through the second or third time that you read it, you can enjoy it more and catch things that you missed.  For example, in the manga Horimiya (spoiler alert) at around chapter 37 the two main characters have sex, or at least something close to it (end of spoiler alert).  The first time through I didn't catch this.  It always helps to reread a manga that you love, it will expand your knowledge on the story and make you appreciate the characters and story more in the long run.  Just try and reread any one manga that you love and you'll figure out that it really is a good decision to try and do it more often.  Usually, you'll find yourself getting back into it and loving it even more than you did originally.

It all depends on how good the manga is. Personally, I prefer not to re-read a manga, or a story for that matter. It is not the same experience you would have if you didn't. Though, if you do not remember the story and want to re-read it, then maybe you'll have the same reaction as you would when you first got into it. Only this time, the feeling isn't as passionate as it was before. So, you would still be excited/shocked at a certain scene, but not as you were when you viewed it the first time (Sorry if this is confusing! I'm bad at explaining things). To sum up of what I said, basically you shouldn't stimulate that area of interest until some time has pasted. Try to keep a balance, otherwise you'll find yourself hating it and say it's overrated.
