maguc : FMAB was really touching, but Death Note did not really phase me at all. I was kind of irritated  It did not make me sad, but I felt let down. 

pacman1755 : I do suppose Angel Beats was really sad, but it was also really happy, I think. That scene in FMA though, wow, that left me sad for a long time. He never deserved anything even remotely that bad.

styrofoamboots : I am not sure whether to feel impressed or express my concerns. 

juuldude : And that was not even one of the most emotional anime. Just wait until you get to some of the hard-hitting stuff. You might have to even skip practice. Hehe.

slayerizedcarol : I will be honest, I have not seen any of the anime that you referenced yet, but if pretty much everyone is dying, it has to be sad, eh? 

SaphThePikachu : To me, having a character forget is almost more saddening than having someone die. That sounds like a real tearjerker.
 
cnw64 : I have not seen Toradora! yet, but it is on my watch list, so maybe I will be able to experience the sadness soon. I have seen Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo though, and I felt really emotionally connected to it. The whole show filled me with happiness and sadness. I honestly love it, even when it hits a few emotional lows. 

zanderlex : While I did not feel a whole lot of sadness during Pokemon, Persona 4 really hit me. Especially the  It pretty much ruined me. 

lozraper29 : Excessively mainstream. That was kind of sad, but it did not hit me anywhere near as hard as a lot of the other stuff I have seen. Trust me, there is some pretty serious stuff out there.

mastergame : I have not yet seen it, but that must have been hard-hitting.

mourinhosgum : But... the puppy was... nevermind. Those were also pretty sad, and I guess I want to see the new one, but I do not know if they will be able to surpass its quality. 

pokemon x : That first sentence hurt my head. Hopefully you do not cry yourself to death though, that would be tragic. 

AriaAngelDream : That puppy scene was extremely disheartening. The others were pretty sad too, but that puppy scene.

Gamin'Gal : Wait, the popular ones are usually less saddening. Oh well. That manga though, if that is pretty much the entirety of the plot, then I know it has to be pretty sad. What with all the death and relationship destruction. 

lordbelial669 : I have not seen Jormungand, but Angel Beats was relatively sad at the end. 

Koda : That really is horrible, but at least they were able to die together. It is better than them having been separated, and then died apart, without knowing what happened to the other. 

vanelan : Maybe? I did not think that there was though. Not more death. I agree with you on the Angel Beats ending. But I feel like the general consensus is that they do not retain their memories, so it is as if none of it ever happened. That would probably make up a large portion of the sadness. Couple that with the chance of them never seeing each other , and you have yourself a sad ending. It could be sadder, and it was still happy, in its own way. Nothing truly heart-wrenching, or tear-jerking.

Yeah.. I remember when DBGT ended and.. When vegeta sacrificed himself. As a 6 year old it made me cry...  And it hurt me more when I found out that it was for nothing. I did not cry about that though.

Clannad, 3 times. That wasn't even funny the first time when and Angel beats when angel dissapears and I am just left there looking at the protagonist in despair crying/calling out for her. Any other manga or anime I felt attached to (like Mahou Sensei Negima the manga) left me empty for a while as they ended like a feeling of It's over already what should I do with my life now. Well that's about all the animes that have made me cry. 

So far no but I have come close a few times. I don't cry much in general either. I probably will cry do at some anime as the ones I've watched usually aren't the most sad ones.

Naruto has made me cry a few times. When Asuma was killed. And most recently when Neji was killed, along with Ino's Dad and Shikamura's father in the same episodes.

Studio Ghibli movies are real tear breakers for me. Either I cry from happiness or sadness, or both. And I've probably cried the most during Pokemon...

I've never cried reading a manga but I have cried during several anime episodes and movies.

FMAB made me cry a few times since the anime is really touching.

I think there's been 3 anime/manga series that have brought me close to tears (I rarely cry about anything ): One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

The big One Piece moment that nearly brought me to tears was

I think everyone who's watched/read Fullmetal Alchemist knows what moment nearly made me cry...

And Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann has which was spoiled to me before I watched the series, so, while still sad, wasn't nearly as tear inducing as the other two moments.

Also, the ending for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann...well, that was more depressing than tear inducing for me... Really wasn't a big fan of the second half of that series...

Fairy tail made me cry when Erza went inside the etherion-infused lacrima.
The scene was really sad and it made me cry.

Fairy Tail almost made me cry, because Grays teacher Ur turned into ice when she captured Deliora with Iced Shell. In my opinion that was very touching scene because she gave her life away just for saving her students.
