Studio Ghibli has a lot of good movies, so i"d like to know what is your favorite

My favorite is probably Castle in the Sky, with Princess Mononoke a close second

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind:

The first of many Ghibli films I watched over the years, and I'm really glad I experienced most of them as a kid.
Since I was about 6 at the time, anything anime or Japanese related was different and interesting to me.
I had a lot of imagination to fill in the gaps when I couldn't keep up with the subtitles or got distracted, so my memory of it was really blurry and mysterious and mixed in with my own escapist fantasies.

Whisper of the Heart:

The last Ghibli movie I've seen, it's been a year but I've forgotten only the dialog, the rest is still vivid.
Some scenes made me homesick for my childhood town, reminded me of my favourite places that I haven't thought of in ages.
No spoilers, but I can relate to the story more now than when I watched it back then.

So, that's my favourites.

Grave of the firefly's is my personal favorite emotional nope train.

Those are my fav ones. Though they are emotional films, they also have their good moments as well. ^-^

But my overall one would have to be Tales from Earthsea because it was heart warming and did get pretty emotional a some points of it.

deg2000 : see Tales from Earthsea was probably my least favorite. I'd didn't really understand the plot, especially some of the weird things towards the end, which I don't want to spoil for others, just didn't make any sense.

I really like the movies Studio Ghibli makes. It's a bit hard for me to pick one favorite movie. Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away were the first two movies I have seen from Studio Ghibli (can't remember which one I saw first). Both movies were amazing and wonderful, I wanted to see them again. Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, and Grave of the Fireflies are other movies I really like along with the first two. They all have their emotional moments as well as their heart warming moments, and I enjoyed all of them. I still really like all the other Studio Ghibli movies I have seen, but in the end, if I really have to pick, I would go with Grave of the Fireflies. It was a really upsetting movie with a few touching, heart warming moments. I can't help but really like the movie, and despite how it went, I still enjoyed it a lot.

I haven't had the chance to watch them all yet but I remember that I enjoyed Ponyo the most from what I have seen. It was done so beautifully and just really sucked you in. All of what I've seen from them has all been gold but Ponyo is tops in my book. Didn't they also team up with some game company to make a game? I bet that would be awesome to play, I can't seem to recall all the details about it though.

Sadly, there are many Studio Ghibli movies I have yet to see, but of the ones I've seen, Ponyo and Nausicaa are my favorites. Ponyo proved that a movie doesn't need to be violent to be artful, and the absence of any major violence in the movie is particularly refreshing, just like it is in the video game Fez. Nausicaa took a strongly non-violent stand, despite the violence in the movie, and featured a very strong lead heroine.

My favorite two Studio Ghibli movies I still remember a lot about even though I haven't seen them in a while. 

Spirited Away. The story is emotional and of course it looked amazing. It is my all time favorite Studio Ghibli movie and probably my all time favorite Japanese movie too.

The Cat Returns. The story is twisted and the characters are weird but that is really what makes a Studio Ghibli movie great.

If you haven't seen these movies you should really check them out because they are pretty awesome.

I've only seen Spirited Away but man, was that film pleasing on the eyes and rich in characters and scenery. 

Some could argue this as a cliché answer, but my favorite if I was forced to pick would be Spirited Away.  While I've seen many of the Studio Ghibli films and loved every single one, Spirited Away was my first and holds a dear place in my heart as one of the main reasons I even got into anime.  I would probably give Kiki's Delivery Service as a close second, since I also have large nostalgia with that film, and just enjoyed every second of it.

Oh man why did I not see this thread sooner? Anyway, Princess Mononoke is absolutely my favorite, mind you I cannot see it due to lack of having a copy these days, however I also adored Kiki's delivery service, Ponyo, and Howl's moving castle.

I have a few favorites: Kiki's Delivery Service (the older version, not the crappy anniversary 2010 edition. It made me cry), Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and The Cat Returns. I absolutely love Billy Crystal as Calcifer and Anne Hathaway as Haru! Phil Hartman did a fantastic job as Gigi, which is why I can't stand the 2010 edit of Kiki because they cut out many of his parts and then had the nerve to dedicate the edition to his memory. Yeah, thanks Disney! Way to remember Phil! I'm sorry about my rant, but I feel pretty strongly about this issue.

I really need to watch more of his films, only one I've watched was Spirted away and I really liked it.

As much as I like anime, I really only kind of like most of the Studio Ghibli movies. My favorite might be kind of unorthodox; it's The Secret World of Arrietty. My other favorites are probably The Cat Returns and Howl's Moving Castle. Castle in the Sky is also pretty good.

I loved spirited away but you know they didn't just make movies either they have a game Ni no kuni wrath of the white witch great art and story I recommend it big time I liked all there movies actually spirited away just stands out the most to me thou 

Oh man, a like a lot of their films but my favourite is probably Spirited Away. That is probably my all time favourite, it also has a really dark undertone and message that was explained by the director. You can google it if you want because I don't think it's very appropriate for Vizzed. Anyways, my close second would have Princess Mononoke. It was the first one I had ever watched and it was really, reall good. Not as good as I thought Spirited Away was though. I also really liked Ponyo.

rock-kun-exe : I recently started playing that game and I'm really enjoying it. It's probably one of the best JRPG game I've played in a while. Studio Ghibli did an outstanding job with the cutscenes.

That's really a tough question....hmmm...I think its a tie between Kiki's delivery service and Princess mononoke. I just unknowing grew up with Studio Ghibli and there's something magical about all of Miyazaki's movies that I absolutely love.
