That's right... it is officially Gabby's first birthday!

I still can't believe I have a 1 year old. It's mind boggling how quickly time flies.

We went for her 1 year check up at the doctor and he says she's as healthy as he could hope for. She's 30 inches tall, she weighs 21 pounds. According to the doctor she's 75th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight which means right now she's tall and skinny... but she doesn't look it . She's still so chunky.

I can't even imagine what her birthday party is going to be like. We've already started getting present coming in from grandparents. My wife's parents are divorced so we're getting 2 sets of presents from her parents and I know my parents got stuff. I also have a bunch of siblings that are close by that are coming to a party on Sunday.

I realize this may not be interesting for many of you since you don't know me, but I need an outlet other than my own family/friends to be excited to

That's great! I'm shocked that she's already 1! It seems like just a few days ago she was 6 months, now she's 12 months. Congrats again!

Congrats Geo, I wish all the best for your daughter. Take plenty of birthday party pictures.

yeah. It's still something I'm getting used to. Soon she'll start talking and I'll have to actually try and instill good values and stuff. I'll have to try and be a parent. It's scary stuff!

That's pretty exciting, congrats to you and your family.

How recent is that photo? I remember seeing one where she had blue eyes, are her eyes no longer blue?

that's actually an old picture. Quite old. She's still got blue eyes.... I'll find a new one and upload it. Maybe even one from today.

yeah. We're getting family together this Sunday for a party. It won't be anything too big since she probably won't remember it. We've got presents to open and some sort of cake and such. It'll be fun.

it was a fun party. And it was actually fun . My whole family got together and I heard from my mom that everyone thought it was the most fun we had had together in a while. I think my wife really liked that cause she planned the party and stuff.

I'm a month late, so it's a little late for wishing a happy birthday. But, you seem like a nice, great person. I'm sure Gabby will turn out to be just as great. (If not greater!>=])
