Whenever I play games it is like to be in a different world like the time just pass on without knowing or just does not feel like you are alive until you pause or go to eat some food or just shut the console or computer down what do you think?
I am going to be a good gamer XD

While I don't feel entirely detatched from reality, when I'm in the middle of a really good game, I do often find myself almost completely unaware of my surroundings until after I stop the game. I'll be alert enough to know I'm still in my room (or wherever I am) playing a video game, but most everything else fades away from my mind.

I wonder how things like Morpheus will further this effect? I've actually heard that it does increase the feeling of being in the game, and decrease awareness of your surroundings. Makes sense though.

Anyway, yeah, I can identify with what you said, definitely. I think that's why the majority of gamers play games: it takes us into a fantasy world that we always wanted to experience, but we can't in real life.

I feel this mostly when i really get into a game (meaning that the game is really good in my opinion) this happened to me with zelda and mario galaxy they always amazed me with their concepts. I still play them and stared at all the things that could be explored if it was a free roam game. Still looking up to that new zelda game that is going to come out for the wii u is going to be free roam I am soo going to get it one way or another.

Surprisingly? Not really. I adore the games and love playing them, but I rarely feel like I'm in another world. The only thing I lose track of is time. Otherwise I can easily hear what's going on around me.
Granted, it might have something to do with the games that I play. Afterall, Sonic isn't known for creating immersive, vast worlds to explore.

Not entirely. While I can get sucked into a game while playing it, especially if it is really good, I will still notice my surroundings. My awareness is obviously lesser than it usually would be, but I am still able to realize that I am in a room, playing a game. I honestly wish that I could get "lost" in a game, but I know that if I do, I will be unable to tell what is going on around me, and I still find that important. But yeah, games can consume me, but not entirely. I still love them either way.

I still know my surroundings and if somebody is calling my name I'll still respond. But, certain games (for me) do make me less aware of other happenings. A game like Animal Crossing really makes me forget about other things due to the game's nature while a quick game of Tetris or just some random grinding in a RPG isn't that immersing.

Collapz3 If there is a free roam aspect to the new Zelda Wii U game, that's the kind of game I'll get focused on and forget other events around me.

Honestly, yes. I was just playing Final Fantasy VII and I felt as if I was actually in the story. Because of this, I tend to lose track of time and be zoned out. However, this does not apply to all games, like Atari games.

I certainly do when I'm play games like LOZ: Majora's mask, Banjo Kazooie (Tooie too) Kirby Super star, And Animal Crossing,And many others! Its  just feels like reality yet such a strange fantasy at the same time. Its hard to describe but it surely it a good feeling.I know a game is good when it makes me feel this way.

Sometimes I really kind of just block everything out in the real world whenever I play a game that I really enjoy, like legend of zelda or pokemon for example, I really like a lot of games from both of them, and I just filter everything else out. It is the same way for super smash bros. There are a lot of games that I really wish I could be a part of, or that could be a part of real life, like being a pokemon trainer for instance. So to answer your question, yes I do tend to go into a trance, when playing a game that I really like.

Definitely most of the time!

A video game makes me feel like I'm in another world away from reality. Everything else is way more interesting than reality anyway. For example, if I'm in an adventure game, I would picture myself in that environment as an adventurer like if the game is actually real. It's always cool to be in another pair of shoes if you ask me. It's only a temporary thing when I'm focused into a game.

We are all people trying to figure out different worlds.

a lot of the time, I become ABSORBED in a game, so when I go outside to play, it all seems strange and weird, like.........I cant think of anything to describe it, actually.

The human sacrificed himself, to save the Pokemon. I pitted them against each other, but not until they set aside their differences did I see the true power they all share deep inside. I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. -mewtwo

"Whatever the hell he just said"-Me

Hello, I am Mega Mewtwo X, and I would like to thank pokemon x for making this layout for me, if you like this layout, its in the layout shop for 500 Viz. I know its a higher price than most layouts, but the fact that he had NO problem making a layout for me should mean something.
