As I sit here and think about my thoughts and dreams
Trying to think of answers yet knowing not what they mean
To live a normal life may seem mundane to others
Yet they don't envy children who are loved by their mothers.
Why am I so obsessed with others hatred and greed.
As I stab my empty husk of a heart and watch it bleed.
There's feelings out there that cannot be explained or even described.
Preferring to let others think I'm evil, Whilst in reality I lied.
Regrettably those lies have become the core of who I am.
Ignoring all positive emotions and not giving a damn.
Yes I crave love and happiness and any sort of joy.
Inside of this man is a starved, crying little boy.

Take what you want from this.

A cry for help from a man in need
A man craving attention to fulfill his greed
Whatever you decide, Do it with a smile on your face
Avoid becoming like me alone, friendless and a vast disgrace

*Sniffs* That was a beautiful poem muff, beautiful poem.....I'll heed some of that advice you said there though. I struggle with that, as it is not easy....

u ain't no disgrace, sonic.  U got our team the best time in Mario Kart!  U put a lot of effort into that, and it paid off.

And you have friends.  You may not always be a friend to others, but there are some who will always be your friend.  I will.  We may not be the closest, but I do try to be friends with everyone.  You're worth it.

I may not have anything profound to say, but I wanted to let you know that I read this and liked it. Seeing as I am a poetry snob and all. ^^

Eniitan : Indeed so do I, I was pretty wary of letting people actually read a poem that I made but it turns out that it wasn't really a problem everyone that's read it has been supportive which is more than I could of asked for

supernerd117 : When it comes to competitions I always try to give it my all, I may not be very good at most things but if I don't try I really don't see the point of taking part at all and I'll feel horrible for letting my team mates down.

CatLady : That means more than you think, especially coming from you. I know that I don't have the ability or vocabulary to match most poems but it doesn't really matter to me this poem was about my emotions and thoughts at the time.. And it captured them very well.
