My question is what is the worst, most annoying, most inconvenient way you have ever died in minecraft? I have a few that I will share soon, but I am curious how others have died in ways that were less than convenient.

Death by a group of Zombie Pigmen on survival.

It took me almost an hour to retrieve my stuff (including diamond armor).

Eventually, I got everything back. It's only because the server had instant /sethome, /home, and /spawn.

magimangr : it was on the demo version i almost finished my first house and a creeper exploded the whole thing and i lost all of my items because behind my house there was a pond and it flooded too and i had to start all over because i didnt save yet

I didn't know about the light level thing for enemies spawning so I lit my house with redstone torches after I found some redstone. While I was putting my stuff a chest, pickaxes and whatnot, a creeper spawned. Since I don't play with the volume on I didn't know it was there, It exploded. I didn't have my armor equipped since I was in my house so I died.

The worst way i ever died...... I was spelunking in a huge cave i called the Madonna hole when i found and looted a mineshaft. I was digging my way out when i hit water in a winter biome and i drowned under the ice with several diamonds,gold,lapis,gunpowder, and melon seeds. I was so PO'd.

I just finished building my Nether portal. I ran for my Nether supplies. Diamond armor, bow, and diamond tools.(except axe.and hoe. Why? There's no wood in the Nether! And there's no dirt in the Nether to plant stuff!) I hopped on the portal. (insert portal sound he- never mind I'll do it) WHOOSH! I was in the Nether! I saw some Zombie Pigmen. I didn't hurt them. I didn't want to die. I saw some Ghasts. I explored the Nether. But then a Ghast unexpectedly shot a fireball. I already told you. I didn't expect it. So I didn't turn around to block the Ghast's fireball. I was imagining me in a multiplayer server. I lost my items. I respawned somewhere very far away from my house. I was lost forever. I had to build another house and mine again for all diamond stuff.

Wow. I guess we all have had our problems, lol! I have been blown up, burned to death, eaten by a wolf, drowned many times and fallen to my death over and over again.

The worst is this. My friend and I were working on his map and he has the auto save feature. Trust me guys, dont use the auto save feature unless you know you are going to be in a safe area the whole time.
 
Here is what happend to me. I was on my friends map who likes autosaving and I was digging in a mine and got killed right when it autosaved. I burned to death in lava and so did my stuff. I had fallen in and was dead as it saved. I had tons of stuff on me and it was horrible. I mean at least 10 diamonds, I think I had 2 diamond pickaxes and 1 of them was enchanted with I think it was Unbreaking III, Efficiency IV and Fortune III. Oh man it was horrible. You cant reload a save if you die while its saving, lol! You still die. We tried a few times and I just kept burning to death over and over and over again. After 3 tries I gave up and just quit playing for a couple of days. I was pretty upset obviously.

Interestingly I got my friend back without wanting to, but this time I saved him. What happend was I went to save and as I was saving he broke a block above him. I always say hey I am about to save dont do anything, but somehow it didnt work out. Well what happend was after he died I checked to see about where he was and kept reloading the map with him not in it, because he actually died right after I saved like seconds after. I finally figured out where he was and then I mined the area, took care of the lava and brought him back in. He LIVED!!! It was great since he had enchanted diamond tools on him then. It was crazy.

Well my worst way was just plain bad luck. (keep in mind i had no armor because this was at the beginning of the game.)

 
So by my house a creeper exploded and I was happy because it made the way in to a cave. So I went in to the cave and found a skeleton glitched in to a wall. I broke the wall open to kill it for resources but it turned out that there was not just 1 skeleton. There was 4. So they all came out started shooting at me and I was about to die. I used my blocks to jump and place my way up. There was only 1 little hole for them to shoot through now but they could not shoot me through it really. I was shooting them and killed 3 of them. Then a creeper blew up next to me knocking back down in to the cave with half a heart left. I was so lucky I managed to kill the skeleton. The first was that I had a bright idea to make a lava pit around the little village I was using. I made it six deep, four wide, and one block higher than all the lava. Only problem was I forgot to add bridges since I had managed to jump over it while running every other time. I decided to go on a mining expedition and was extremely successful, stayed until I found a diamond even... Unfortunately on my way back I ran out of steak... ^^" Tried to jump the pit and died by lava. Lost everything I had been ferrying back to base.

The second most annoying was when I was building a sky island. I hadn't put in a way to get back up and fell off the side... Now a water elevator is my first step.

Sooo, I was, y'know, doing all the stuff one needs to do on my animal farm. I had too many pigs, so I started to kill some of them to make space. But then lightning struck on them and 3 pigs suddenly transformed into zombie-pig-men. As I stated before, I was killing some of my pigs. So me, still swinging my sword, hit one of them. The worst way I died also happened to be the best thing that ever happened to me in Minecraft.

I was on my favorite server and I saw that somebody built a house up in the sky. I wanted to go in there to see if there was anything that I can take, so I began cobbletoning my way up to the top. Once I made it up there, I realized that I was too far away to jump to, so I had to start heading my way back down to move my Cobblestone stack to a new location. 

I break down about 5 blocks and then everything goes haywire. The game keeps resetting by a few seconds. At this point, the last few blocks were destroyed already, so I would fall about 5 -10 blocks, then it would reset and I would continue falling again. No matter how far I moved away from the stack as I fell, it would keep resseting and there was no way I could stop. I could not die, I could not teleport, there was nothing i could do at all.

After about an hour and a half of falling, the game finally got tired of resetting, and I fell, and hit the ground.

I was in the mines. I had about two stacks of diamonds, and countless stacks of iron and gold. I was making my way out of the mines by digging up. BAD IDEA. I dug right into a lava pocket. With no escape, I was left to die quickly and watch my items burn. I raged like I never raged before.

I was running away from a horde of mobs looking back at them (this was before the sprint was added) because I was looking in front of me I fell down a ravine and died pf falling damage!

The worst way that I died in Minecraft was when I was looking up in a cave at some gold, and I fell down a hole into lava and died after finding 12 diamonds in that cave, and that ultimately got me out of Minecraft, as I got very mad at it.

Thats too bad it got you out of it. I know at times the game is a little annoying, but it is really fun and if you are careful and save a lot you can really build some amazing things.
