I saw these at Walmart earlier. They really smell like the advertised scent. Besides Bacon, the other scents are: Chocolate, Lollipop, Spring Flowers, Watermelon, Apple, Vanilla Ice Cream, & Popcorn.


I did take a pic of the Chocolate one but Paint didn't want to save the resize(It was too big. Had to resize the bacon one as well.) & I didn't feel like putting it on an image hosting site.

Wow in my opinion that is not a very good idea. Now people eating their pillows in their sleep will become a regular thing. Also I cannot imagine trying to fall asleep while smelling bacon. It would just smell too tasty for me to just fall asleep.

Surgiac : wow scented pillows if i got that my cats would be all over it and then i wouldn't have a pillow anymore they eat anything that even smells like food its retarded,just bad its turned into a bad situation before

Both my mother & me like these. She would like the Popcorn one & I want the Chocolate one. We'd have to hide them from our pets though. They would most likely eat them. Maybe the pillows could be put in the fridge.....

I'm trying to contemplate what a lollipop would smell like..

JackalHyde : I couldn't actually tell you. They had both the Lollipop & Spring Flowers pillows near the Bacon ones & the bacon smell overpowered them.


If they still have the pillows next time I'm there, I'll try smelling the pillows in the back of the display to see if I can smell a stronger scent from those.

I feel like eventually that smell would rub off on yo, or  for that matter, any of the scented pillows, your clothes and sheets would start smelling like that.... People might not want to hang around you if you smell like bacon all the time.

Surgiac : i think only the flower scented one would be the best unlike the bacon one because you dont eat flowers and the floral scent could clear up some nose issues

I don't know. I think that scented pillows are just another thing to distract from sleep. If you don't get un-distracted sleep and never go through your proper REM cycle, it doesn't matter if you sleep for 10 hours. You won't get the real benefits of sleep. Part of having an un-distracted sleep involves having as few stimuli as possible. Many studies are showing that we are having drastic health impacts with artificial light while we sleep. Whether it be the television on all night or bright street lights shining through your window. It disrupts our sleep patterns, and many have had very dangerous health issues from it, even though they sleep the normal amount of hours. I think scented pillows could be just one more stimuli while we sleep. Even asleep, we are not immune to perceiving smell. Though small, it is still a stimuli. It might be just the extra stimuli that means the difference of getting the appropriate sleep cycle or not.

I know that for me, I would probably be distracted by the smell. Also, smells like that are fine for a little while, but they can become overwhelming over a period of a couple of hours. Sometimes, for me, they get nauseating to me even if I like the smell. That is just me personally. But I also hate going to sleep hungry, and food smelling pillows will make me hungry.

It looks like an interesting concept but I don't think I would ever buy one. I think that it would just distract me from my sleep because I would just be smelling that the entire time. I can't imagine it would actually smell very good either. I can think of it smelling like a gross industrial scented "bacon" or "chocolate" scent.

I think my biggest beef with the pillows is the fact that the scent (if it ever smelled good to begin with) would get progressively worse the more it was used, the more you washed it and caused it to fade.

Scented pillows... Scent pillows... Scent..... Pillows... Pillow... EDIBLE PILLOWS, I'VE GOT IT! An edible covering with cotton candy stuffing!

JackalHyde : I think the main reason why the Bacon pillow overpowered the other two scents was because those two front pillows actually had faded instead of got worse. I think the pillows will just fade after a while instead of get worse so they will become just like normal pillows with designs on them.

All I want my pillow to smell like is clean laundry. I can only imagine what all those "scents" are like when they are combined with sweat.

I agree with rcarter, if anything this isn't a very good idea because it is just one more distraction that will prevent you from actually getting any sleep, so the idea defeats the purpose here. If it is a smell or scent that you really like then it will probably make you crave it or wish you had it and it will just keep you up even longer. It would most likely be to overpowering for me to handle and I would end up with very little to no sleep at all. While it is a rather unique or interesting topic, I don't think anyone that intends on getting sleep, including myself, would buy this product. If you wish to stay up all night, then it is all yours, I just don't think its such a great idea.
