Heya Dearies.It is i relinquish,The best Pokemon reviewer to ever exist...well i am one of the few that exist on this site so its not really that hard,Anyway after doing some playing and research for my next Pokemon review i thought of something,Poison types are REALLY under rated,Now i do know that about say...40% of those guys are worthless.But i would say that there greatest Strength lies not in the Pokemon themselves,But in the ways they attack.Aka there attack are awesome.I would argue that they have some of the best moves in the game (FOR CASUAL PLAY) if used right,So this is my little tribute to all of the things that involve poison type Pokemon that don't suck...they are the few...the proud...The poison type moves...that don't suck at least.

10-Acid Armor: Ah yes,This move has helped me since gen 1,And it is very effective.The move raises the users defense by two stages...Pretty basic,But i promise you its effective.Come on even you competitive guys out there know that this move is good right? Right. And even though there are better moves out there to assist you in your awesome crusade to collect all of the gym badges and stop team [Insert random name here] This guy is alright,But remember this is just the bottom of the barrel.

9-Belch: This move is quite interesting,And unlike some of the other moves not just in poison types,But in all types in general,it actually requires thought.And i must admit,I have been having QUITE a fun time testing it for this list and for my little review.You see this move has a base attack damage of 120 and has 90% accuracy.But there is a catch of course and...Fma take it away.

In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed."

God i love that series,Anyway in order for you to use this move,Your Pokemon is going to have to eat a berry.Or this move will always fail,I have figured out that its best to use this move when you can finish off a target,Or else its pretty worthless.And..that's pretty much it,TO NUMBER 8 MEN.

8-Gastro Acid: You know competitive community? Have a seat.Now i know me and you have our differences,We don't like each others play style.We have a hard time adapting to things.But i think you and i can agree on something here,And that.Is that this move is good...very good.Gastro Acid eliminates the targets ability completely...Do you even KNOW WHAT YOU POSSES HERE? And as i may have hinted in the begging,The competitive community is most likely going to appreciate this move the most,Can you imagine a Pokemon completely dependent on there ability? It will completely destroy them..likes its nothing,All that thinking.All that prep time,And all of that training.Is for nothing.And it is awesome,But only if used right,And i will admit it is very unlikely that the a.i will have a Pokemon that is completely based around its ability.

7-Poison powder: oh memories,I remember the classic old days of me using bulbasaur,And just destroying the a.i with this move,Couple this move with something like leech seed,And you have one of the most annoying things in the game.And i don't feel like explaining this move because pretty much all of you know what it does...its poisons the target,Done.Anyway once again this move is basic,But effective.The only downside to it is its accuracy.It only has a 75% hit chance.That is very.Very.very. Annoying.And when this move fails,My god it will hurt you so bad,And when you die from this move.You will want to kill somebody,But like i said before if you pair it with a move such as leech seed,It will be heavenly.

6-Sludge: Ah sludge,The weakest yet the oldest of the "Sludge" Type moves,This move has a base damage of 65,And has 100% accuracy,And finally this move has a 30% chance of poisoning the target.Like i said before this move is the weakest and the oldest of the "Sludge" type moves.But it is still very effective,Seriously this move is not to bad.However i would choose something else.And i will get into those moves later.

5-Sludge Bomb: Later means right up next apparently.Sludge bomb has a base attack damage of 90,Has 100% accuracy,And finally has a 30% chance of poisoning the target,This move is basically an upgraded version of Sludge,But just like sludge,It is awesome.Its just better.And i have used this move many.many.many. times,Also its relatively easy to find in all of the games,So yeah...everything i said about sludge,just apply it here.

4-Sludge wave:You know i could "Just apply it here" Right now...and i really want to.But i guess i should talk about what this move does.Because while it is very similar to the moves before it,It is not a complete copy and paste,Basically this move has a base attack damage of 95 and has 100% accuracy,It also has a 10% chance of poisoning the target,And should hit all enemy targets.Hence the "Wave"part,And i can finally say it,Everything i said about the sludge moves,Apply it here.

3-Toxic Spikes: Oh competitive community? Tell them why this move is great...no? Okay fine i will tell them,This move is possibly one of the most well known poison type moves in the hardcore "I grind for hours and EV train to get the best Pokemon" community It basically poisons the next Pokemon the target uses.And this move is good in casual and competitive play,Seriously you can beat any gym leader using this insanely powerful move,But don't try using it at the elite 4 to much,As you will fail...most likely.

2-Venoshock: Now.Some of you guys...may disagree with this,But please allow me to explain.Venoshock has a base attack damage of 65 and has 100% accuracy,And then..Then we have its effect,This moves damage will be doubled to 130 if the target is poisoned.Do you even KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THIS MOVE? Just give it to a Pokemon with an ability that poisons the target.Or you can just pair it with a move such as toxic.There are so many ways this move can be effective,So many ways it can be deadly,And so many ways it can be a One hit K.O,That if you were to not take advantage of it,I would..well i can't really do anything to you behind this screen,But i would do something,Something.

1-Toxic: You guys knew this was coming.This move poisons the target..Done,That's all it does,But it has excellent accuracy 90%,That's almost 100% and it is wonderful.Also while it is the most basic,I believe that it is the most effective,As this move is almost always going to hit.So you can always think of another move to use next turn that will take advantage of the status effect(LIKE VENOSHOCK) Also i forgot to mention its little side effect.The poison starts off slow and really not worth noticing at first,But it gets worse.And worse.And worse. Every single turn.That is most likely the best thing about this move.Or maybe i am just a sick guy who likes seeing my targets die a slow and painful...faint.Yeah kids there just fainting.

Nice summary on all of these moves man, you really get into the specifics for all areas of pokemon which I think is fantastic! 

I think that toxic, toxic spikes and venoshock are some of the best poison moves, and I am glad you mentioned all of them. People will probably disagree with venoshock anyway, but I think it is still a very good move because it has the potential to really deal a lot of damage if your target is already poisoned. 

Nevertheless, your summaries of each move, as well as the moves you chose are all great! Keep up the great work with this man!

You forgot the most trolly move ever. Aka clear smog. I really think these are all great moves and I use all of these a lot. 

Poison types are my favorite. I like Toxic the most because it becomes stronger in every turn if the target is poisoned. And also Venoschock is great move if the target is poisoned.

Btw. I'm playing Pokemon emerald 386 just using poison type Pokémon's.

My favorite poison move is sludge bomb. Tons of damage very effective if used with a Pokémon such as Muk.

Toxic is by far my favorite poison type move since it can be taught to pretty much any pokemon is great when combined with a tanky pokemon (Shuckle I'm looking at you). I also like venoshock for the 130 base damage against poisoned pokemon and Sludge bomb for being an all around solid offensive poison move. Cross Poison is also a solid move though I haven't used too many pokemon that can learn it.
