I myself live in a state called Virginia. If it weren't for DC up north, we would be a fly-by state. Anyways, I live in a suburb area of Richmond, our capitol. And like the rest of the state, it is basically a clearing in a forest. So trees are everywhere you look. The horizon line? Probably trees. But it is pretty nice. Though we have a large population of stupid people, they usually stay in certain areas the rest of us avoid. Other than them, the people are nice, the cost of living isn't too high, and there is plenty of stuff around to do. But if you want scenery, don't go anywhere near Richmond. Preferably another state. We aren't the prettiest area, but it is pretty uneventful, so it's a nice area to grow up in. |

I live in NYC and I love it. All you have to do is go a little bit in an direction and you could find something that is completly different from where you just were. Boring where I live, awesome out in the city an hour away (SLC). Why? Because it has a building for everything. There's even a building that has a projection of Nyan Cat on the side of it... It moves and everything, too. And there's like 5 billion good cheap food places. And 5 billion good expensive food places. But where I live? A peaceful town next to (probably) the third biggest city here. What's in that city? I'm not really sure, even though I go there a lot. I guess just lots of recreation. Summer : Damn hot, flippin' dry Winter : Damn cold, flippin' dry... and flippin' snowy, but sledding and skiing is fuuuun. Gotta love Utah. It's so dry that we have both extreme weather temperatures. Also gotta love how I summoned 2 users, Summer and Winter. Summer : Damn hot, flippin' dry Winter : Damn cold, flippin' dry... and flippin' snowy, but sledding and skiing is fuuuun. Gotta love Utah. Helsinki is a bunch of concrete blocks spread out on some twenty kilometer radius. Most of that for some reason is the "east" and the most further west part is the center. There are some suburbia to the west and projects to the north that are called by other names (Espoo and Vantaa) but are not a real part of the city, which I sort of never understood. Except that it costs you more to cross the zones with public transports. I live in the "east" part of town which is relatively close to the center. If there is a "red light" zone here, it is here since there is a Thai message parlor in every street corner, "private dances" and more bars you would think the locals could ever wet their whistle at. The trick is: every trick not only in the city comes here for a good time but from outside the city too. So it is drunken noise pretty much 24/7 but you get used to it. Plus I have a lot of friends here and short distance to live shows (as in bands playing) and via public transport to all places I need in life (as in NOT the brothels). So it is exciting enough. I love the rest of the country too and the countryside, since that is where I am from. We don't get much tourists here but I once got to read a guidebook in English that said the street one block away from here should be avoided after dark. It made me laugh since I find the people out in the country much, much more dangerous and mean than the junkies there. Well it is up to you. Do you want to get just mugged or roleplay The Deliverance. We welcome you for a visit, I guess. (This message is not sponsored by the chamber of commerce of Helsinki or the Finnish tourist bureau.) I grew up in this city country called Singapore. I lived there for 7 whole years and that was like the best country ever! It is very small and I think it is only 700 miles squared or so. Now I live in the streets of the USA, in a suburban area new Atlanta, Georgia. Now I live in the streets of the USA, in a suburban area new Atlanta, Georgia. |

I live in a small town in Canada, Ontario called Bradford. It's generally quite small but is expanding slowly. It's basically a good town with nice people. It has one of the best school (top 50) in Ontario so it's a bonus. Although it has been classed as a joke by some people in the town as a drug zone. Which in some ways is true, there are a lot of marijuana users :p.
As for Canada it's pretty well know. It's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It's a social convention to be polite here and hold the door for someone when they are 50 ft away. But this country is one of the safest, largest and has some of the most opportunities. I think i'd rather live here than anywhere else (even England ). As for Canada it's pretty well know. I live on Long Island (New York) and I have my whole life. It is pretty nice here. I like that it is close to New York City, but not so close that you get all the fumes and pollution. The weather in the spring and fall is awesome here, but the winter and summer suck! In the summer it is in the high 90s, which isn't too bad, but there is so much humidity. It feels like it is 120 because of how sticky the air is. In the winter, it is too darn cold! It ranges between the 10s and the 30s. |

I live in England,. In a city that's essentially right in the center of it. There's a lot of parks and all the houses look nice and beautiful.. The city I live in isn't really famous for many things apart from a few famous sports professionals.. And the elephant man..... but overall it's a very nice multi-cultural city that has pretty much anything you'd ever need... I mean we pretty much have most styles of food here and despite the various religions and beliefs everyone gets on great. |

I live in Toronto, which is the largest city in Canada. I live in the west end, where a lot of the affluent communities are. There's nothing much in this part other than shops, restaurants, and houses, however, so i spend a lot of time downtown; visiting the CN tower is one of my favourite pastimes. The city gets a lot of bad press around the country, because everyone thinks it's a dirty crime haven, a reputation decreased in no part by our not-so law-abiding mayor. But it's actually quite clean and safe, however, and the crime rate's been falling every year.
Bonus: I lived for about a year in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia (my parents are both Serbian). The city hasn't really fully recovered from the war, but i found that many parts of it were quite comfortable. I live in a small town in Tennessee called Maryville. What is it like? Its like any other small town in the south. There is not much to do here, no good bands ever really come, no good local Punk bands, really nothing to do. The one thing I really like about small towns is there are not too many people that get in my way. |

I live somewhat east of Pittsburgh, and I have to say, it's not exactly what I would call a "fun" or "enjoyable" experience. For starters there is a large concentration of conservatives right around the area I live and in the school district. It's filled with gun-toting maniacs, as well as your average homophobic person, people who are casually racist and every other person wants the entire planet to be censored into oblivion. Of course, I'm probably exaggerating a bit, but it does start to wear down and take its toll on you. There is also a very ridiculously large concentration of sport-obsessed (specifically, football) people that believe if you want to root for another team, that you are the equivalent of Satan, and will ostracize you to no end. The sport-obsessed people are one of the biggest reasons why I am not into sports, I used to like them, but seeing as how if I wanted to play any sports or enjoy them I would have to be either very good at sports or enjoy the local teams. They don't play sports for fun, it's all to win (or at least, that's what they consider "fun"), and I simply can't be a part of that. Other than the people, there is not a whole heck of a lot to do, despite living very near a city. The city is a far-cry from what it was in the steel age (still glad I didn't live here then either), and doesn't have a majority of what I like to do. I'm going to try to move out of the state when I go to college, but even then I might not be able to due to monetary issues, and I'll be stuck with these people forever. |

Northeast Wisconsin isn't necessarily what you would call the best place on earth, but there is pretty much never any natural disasters in the area except maybe a nasty snow storm or cold front. It has it's ups and downs. |

Pretty ideal. Good size, decent transport, plenty to do, so much Greenspace, beautiful architecture.

I live in the city's second largest Albanian city of Durres called. Is a coastal city with an amazing coastline, with old buildings with historical value papeshkrueshme, with roads Illyrian time. Durres is the most beautiful city in Albania, not just for the sea, but also for the wonderful people that surround. To drink a coffee evening holding something close to the sea is fantastic. You invite everyone to come in Durres (Albania) and will remain fascinated by the beauty of this wonderful city. |
